People are way underestimating the Hawks. Top 4 seed next year
have they added anything this offseason?
Posted on 7/12/14 at 12:37 pm to GynoSandberg
so they are back to a 44-45 win team. They dont scare anyone

What about the Wizards Les?
Posted on 7/12/14 at 12:48 pm to S
yea we cant even say the cavs are the best team in the east yet
no way Miami finishes above Washington

Assuming Brook Lopez stays healthy Brooklyn will be a 4 seed or better IMO.

I think they are more of a threat then the hawks but still I dont think they scare any of the top 4. Ariza played really well for them last year, i wonder how they will replace him.
Id have them at #5. I expect Beal to make a little jump
what do you think?

Depends if Otto Porter is a bust. He could propel them

As of now, and this is based on Melo going back to NY I've got:
1. Chicago
2. Cleveland
3. Atlanta
4. Washington
5. Brooklyn
6. Indiana
7. Toronto
8. Miami
Obviously this could look completely different after the end of free agency.

If Bosh remembers how to be a 20/10 guy, Miami could be dangerous. Especially if they land Deng
Bosh/Wade/Deng
Bosh/Wade/Deng

So they have to sign Wade and Deng first. And then Wade and Bosh have to step their games up and stay healthy. I guess there's always a chance.

if the Hawks still had Quin, they'd be a top 3 seed. amirite?
Posted on 7/12/14 at 1:09 pm to Lester Earl
Yeah, They had a legit shot at the conference finals this year. They still have a pretty nice core. In the East, maybe they can make that next step.
Posted on 7/12/14 at 1:35 pm to The Easter Bunny
I will guarantee a top 6 seed for the hawks if they are relatively healthy. Leaving them out is pure ignorance

For the posters predicting the Cavs finish, is that with or without Kevin Love?
Posted on 7/12/14 at 1:43 pm to S
As it all stands now...
1/Indiana
2/Cleveland
3/Toronto
4/Miami
5/Washington
6/Chicago
7/New York
8/Charlotte
Cleveland gets the 1 seed if it lands Kevin Love. This also assumes Dwayne Wade stays with Miami.
The East will still not be nearly as good as the West next year but it will be better. Toronto, Washington, Charlotte and obviously Cleveland are on the rise. If Wade re-signs with Miami, the Heat should remain a Western Conference darkhorse,
I'm not sold on Chicago being higher because I don't think Derrick Rose is ever going to be the same player he was in the MVP year. It seems he may go the way of Penny Hardaway.
