Watching the rain drip off my roof is more entertaining than watching soccer. Why the hell should I give a shite about some league involving countries that play 10000 miles away that I have no attachment to?

9-6 is probably the best true football game ever played.

20 years from now hockey will still be more popular than soccer in the United States and Canada.

College FB is boring.

Basketball is boring.

College athletes should be able to make money.

College Football should scrap the bowls and move to a playoff system similar to the FCS. Every conference champion receives an automatic bid, and there would be at-large bids. The games could still be played at the bowl sites.

That league was about to be totally in the shitter before he took over. In the early 80's you had to stay up past the 10:00 news to watch the FINALS on tape delay, for Christ's sake....so yeah, I would argue that he WAS the best thing that happened to the NBA.

I think that has to do more with Magic vs Bird. Stern happened to be at the right place at the right time. You had two college rivals that became rivals in pro ball. Had the perfect mix (East vs West, Showtime vs Motion, Glitz vs Blue collar).

LeBron James is not close to the GOAT he plays in a era of weak defense and no dominant big men. He gets by on athleticism. He was a suspension away from being only behind Jerry West in finals losses.

Bill Russell and Larry Bird are two of the most underrated players of all time.

Emmitt Smith was a product of a great oline and longevity.

Ted Williams was the best hitter to ever play the game.

Babe Ruth was the best player to ever play the game.

Nolan Ryan would have been the GOAT had he played for winning teams.

The best athlete in sports in the modern era was Bo Jackson.

All modern era QBs and WRs are inflated by today's rules.

Dan Marino was the best passer to ever play the game.

Drew Brees is a better QB than Peyton Manning.

Anyone (except Wilt) that played most of career pre-70s would not be that good modern day in any sport and none of them should ever be considered tGOAT

I never understand how this comment can be made. Take Elgin Baylor for example. Do you just assume he would be the exact same player he was in the 60's-70's? You do not have a clue how good he could be if he had the chance to play basketball year round as high school kids do now. He goes to college and gets world class training and nutrition, then continues that in the pros.
Baylor was a 6'5" guard that averaged 27 ppg in the 60's and he would do it in this era as well. So would Russell, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson etc.

Tiger Woods is the best golfer ever. EVER. And though I love Jack, the comparisons are hilarious. Tiger played at a level against a higher competition. And dominated

His body game up on him but nobody has ever been better

My only one.
