Has to be the Yankees imho.

Also, not including the Lakers in this list is laughable.

Bama: 15 titles from a field of 124 teams

Yeah man, those historic programs like Tulane and Kansas really give Bama a run for their money.

The answer is Yankees or Celtics/Lakers and it's not even remotely close. Professional dominance > college dominance.

Now, since I hate MLB I'm going to go with the Steelers.

Even if you hate MLB, it's fricking ridiculous to rank the Steelers ahead of the Lakers, Celtics, and Habs. The Steelers aren't even the GOAT NFL franchise. The Packers have the most NFL championships with 13 which is seven more than the Steelers.

So a Bama fan started this thread hoping everyone would suck Bama's dick? Seems pretty typical.

Oh and Bama and there made up National Championships don't hold a candle to the Yankees, Celtics or Lakers

That's the thing, I couldn't pick between the Lakers and Celtics. How many of those NFL championships were from one coach for the Packers?

How many of the Steelers Super Bowl victories came from Chuck Noll? Take away Noll and the Steelers would have been one of the worst franchises in the NFL up until the Cowher years.

Alabama Crimson Tide (most National Titles)

If Bama wins out, you have to give this to the Tide. 15 national titles from a field of 120 teams is INSANE.

It's neither. Again, it's the Canadiens:
quote:
The Canadiens have won the Stanley Cup more times than any other franchise. They have won 24 championships, 22 of them since 1927, when NHL teams became the only ones to compete for the Stanley Cup.[5] On a percentage basis, as of 2010, the franchise has won 25% of all Stanley Cup championships contested after the Challenge Cup era, making it one of the most successful professional sports teams of the traditional four major sports of Canada and the United States.

... meh that good, but The All Blacks chuckle at all these answers

Greatest winning percentage of any organized team sport in the world

The team is over a 100 yrs old and they have an 80% winning record

4. Those were Super Bowl wins though. Your including championships that didn't even include the two professional leagues in America.
