Exclusive: Sources inside Eagles paint Carson Wentz as 'selfish,' 'uncompromising' and 'playing favorites' The franchise quarterback ‘complicated’ the offense, sources said, adding he didn’t want to run ‘Foles stuff’

quote:

Over the past two months, PhillyVoice spoke with more than a half dozen players, plus other sources close to the team, who all requested to remain anonymous — fearing repercussions given Wentz' power within the organization. And what they told us paints a somewhat different picture of the Eagles' locker room – and their franchise quarterback – than one might expect.

quote:

Groh is a “good coach,” who was “bullied” by Wentz, according to sources. The problem with the offense this past season shouldn’t lie with Groh, it should “lie with Wentz,” they said.

Carson Wentz, from fricking North Dakota?

Carson Went, who locked himself in a gas station bathroom?

This dude is a "bully" to his coaches?

This right here makes me question the whole story. What does that even mean? Were they trying to run an offense better suited for Foles while Wentz was on the field?

Seems like a simple fix for the Eagles then. Release Wentz and name Foles the starter.

That's exactly what a vocal contingent of Philly fans, and the writer of this article want. I'd like them to roll with Foles, but this is a bullshite article written with the agenda of trying to make that happen

Release a young dirt cheap talented QB and get no compensation and resign the 30 plus year old QB who has consistency issues for 20 plus mil?

Sounds like quite the plan

That’s what the article insinuates. That should invalidate the entire article.

Yea no kidddong people see a guy and then look at a couple interviews where he has been coached what to say and come to the conclusion ... “oh he’s a good guy. We gonna ignore what people who are around him every day all day tell us” I don’t get it rife.

I'm just going by the reports of discontent from the Eagles locker room.

Again even if you want to keep foles, releasing wentz would be the dumbest move to ever happen in sports. He would bring in a shite ton in a trade.

Also fletcher cox came out and disavowed the article already

Jesus Christ you're missing the entire point. I'm laughing at the article and it's ridiculous notion that Wentz was somehow the reason behind the Eagles taking a step back in 2018.

ETA: The release him comment was meant to illustrate how ridiculous it is.
