Melon seems like the worst type of player. Potential leader who just doesn't get it. Sad really.

As other talking heads have said, Melo holds all the power with his no trade clause

Those are pretty strong words. Jackson clearly isn't as good of a GM as he is a coach, and he hasn't adjusted what he thinks wins championships to fit the modern NBA.

i would not mind melo on my team if i didn't have to give up anything to get him or pay him 20 million. if i'm the raptors or the celtics or something shite i'll take him not giving up anything for 10 million a year

Phil is an awful gm. I don't care if he was a good coach. They have been worse with Phil than prior to Phil. Also publicly shitting on your best player doesn't help you get any other stars to come

Melo to the Clippers should've happened months ago. Would've been much better for both parties.

Why? Melo has done the absolute best he can in a shite situation. Organization as whole doesn't have a clue what they're doing. Your President constantly criticizing you. Yet Melo hasn't said a word up until this point. Total Professional

Phil Jackson on Carmelo Anthony: "You ever eat a delicious box of flavored popsicles only to have that experience ruined by accidentally coming across a grape flavored one? That's what Melo is to New York. frick that grape-arse ****."

Huh? Why would the Knicks do that? That money doesn't come off their books.

well frick something has to give.

melo doesn't want to leave NY
melo has a no trade clause
phil doesn't want him on the team

what other solution is there? why would melo wave his no trade clause, and have the team he is going to get gutted just to get him there? he learned that lesson going from Denver to NY

if melo is serious about winning he will make the knicks cut him, allow him to go whatever team he wants for the price he wants so that the team doesn't have to give up assets to get him

melo is in the drivers seat. it won't be pretty but they will have to release him eventually.

Melo was a genius for including the no trade clause in his contract. No way he retires and leaves all that money on the table and there's only a few teams he'd agree on a trade to. If he can drive it to make Phil release him then won't he go through waivers then be a free agent? Then anyone could sign him for pennies. Phil may refuse to outright release him though since he is going to be paying him either way. Knicks could use mellow though, they have very few players with promise
