I like the trade, but happening a week or 2 earlier would have been ideal. When they still had something to play for.

That contract will likely be renegotiated if he sticks, it's my understanding none is guaranteed. Reduce the cap impact, increase the guaranteed money.

Jets are playing a dangerous game with the skill positions being manned by talents players who have injury history. Chris Ivory is holding up, Eric Decker not so much.

Interesting to see if they risk putting him on returns as well, as they are dying for a decent returner.

If I'm the Jets I don't renegotiate.

His contract isn't bad for the Jets, $10.5 next year, but it then goes down for the next two seasons. No guaranteed money left on his deal, so the 4th year at $11.5 isn't going to happen. His $12 million signing bonus is on the Seahawks' books. So when the Jets cut him, no dead money.

The Jets basically have Harvin for 3 years at just under $30 million with nothing guaranteed.
The Seahawks gave up a 1st,4th, & 7th and paid him $21.6 million for 6 games.

@AdamSchefter 35s35 seconds ago Seahawks traded WR Percy Harvin to Jets, as @JayGlazer reported. Seattle felt Harvin was not a fit there.

I need to know what this means. Did he do something unforgivable in Seattle like go to Starbucks?

He probably went off in the locker room and Seattle panicked and tried to get rid of him.

A Vikings fan at work said something like this must have happened. He said he was known for having a bad attitude in Minnesota. Add that plus the migraines and no defined role, I guess it's easy to offload him.

I don't see the problem with that. He's better than them and needs to assert that point.

As soon as he gets to New York, he needs to pee on Eric Decker's locker to assert his dominance.

What does "conditional pick" mean?

It means if he gets injured as usual, the Seahawks get a pack of Bologna and a case of Miller High Life for him.

They felt he "wasn't a fit there?" Holy mother of retardation. He made their offense what it is.

What? They run the ball. He didn't do anything to make that better.
