Meaningless game. The last of his career. After starting 0-5, he goes 22-45 (49%) the rest of the way, out scores Utah in the 4th, makes his last 5 shots and last 4 FTs to lead a come from behind victory.

He shot 44% overall.

With those numbers, the 60 pts on 50 shots is really irrelevant. That was greatness at 37 years old. He got better as the game went on.

No one is upset about anything.

Some are just being honest about what last night was all about.

I agree.

It was the perfect way for him to go out. Putting up 50 shots IS Kobe.

It was fun to watch much better than if they played a game where he took the standard 15-20 shots.

And while it obviously wasn't an efficient 60, it wasn't just the most inefficient night ever like it seems to be insinuated here and there.

The problem is a lot of idiots didn't watch at all, woke up, checked the stat line, and just assumed it was an all star game with no defense played.

Who gives a shite. The Lakers have been the laughing stock of the NBA for the past three seasons and I highly doubt they will be anything but over the next three.

I don't give a shite about his stats or efficiency. Kobe went into god mode in the final 2:00 like it was 2006 again. What a fricking way to go out. Just incredible. My jaw is still on the floor.

I mean, the Warriors just broke a record that most thought would never be touched and it took a backseat to a lottery team playing in a meaningless regular season game.

The power of Kobe Bryant, ladies and gentlemen.

you kidding me? a lot of people are upset about stupid shite. like people watching Kobe go HAM in the 4th over watching GSW blow out Memphis.

if you didn't enjoy watching Kobe last night, especially in the 4th, then you just don't enjoy basketball, which is fine.

Exactly. Kobe didn't sign up for basketball so he could pass the ball.

Wasn't some great marvel of a games. People are acting like it was some feat of athleticism on par with AD's 59 and 20 boards

Or Klay's 37 point 3rd quarter

Or even Drummond with 29/27/3blks

That was the most fun I've had watching an NBA game all season, of course the Pelicans helped make a majority of the games I watched this year feel like torture.

Scoring 60 points in an NBA game is pretty marvelous no matter how it comes.

Yep, it was just fun.

I woulda picked watching GSW go for 73 100 out of 100 times over Kobe, but I very quickly switched over to Kobe on the main screen and forgot all about GSW(granted it was a blowout) on teh secondary, but still.

I still don't see many people upset. Honestly the only ones who appear upset are Kobe homers who are incredulous that everyone didn't see the game the same way they did.

I flipped back and forth between the games. In the 4th when Kobe was making his shots I was like that's a cool way to go out. But was I in awe? No, sorry.

Was Utah already eliminated from playoff contention before the game?

The guy legs had 0 lift and had youngbloods in his face checking every time he put a shot up. Not to mention he scored 60 at 38. It's definitely a marvel

Yes, HOU ahd either wrapped up the W, or they were up so big, there was no question HOU had the win and Utah was eliminated.
