Honestly from an outsider's point of view reading through this thread - it looks like shel is trying to reason with a bunch of either A) immature B) stubborn or C) just plain butthurt Cleveland fans.

Thanks, I'll get the rest to you next week.

Just be happy for him (Dirk) in June shel... all I ask... also... I dunno if Lebron will ever be able to surpass MJ after this year... no business losing to 1 star with a flawed/injured supporting cast.. but it'll happen

Got a question for you. You're always saying how Lebron haters will just come up with excuses if/when he gets a ring.... What will you say if he cant beat the Mavs with a superior supporting cast?

That he's 0 for 1 in trying to win a title with a team built to win titles.

ALL the stars have lost here and there as true contenders basically.

Also, just to clarify:

In all of Lebron's 7 seasons in Cleveland, not once did I ever pick him to win a title.

The last 2 seasons were the only ones where they had any shot at all, and I picked LAL both years.

I did pick Miami this preseason and never made any other predictions.

So, that jives with my post above.

It would be an embarrassment to lose to a team whose 2nd best player is Tyson Chandler and 2nd offensive option is Jason Terry, shel..Jordan would never, ever allow for that to happen..

but it'll happen... and I hope you'll be happy for him (Dirk), shel..

he handled that ordeal totally wrong

yeah donating millions of dollars to childrens charities was such a shame

Thats what I don't get. He didn't call the media and ask them to follow his every move. Camp outside his house. Follow him to work everyday. They wanted to be the first to know.. Fine. Pay for it. Not only that, pay for it and I'm going to donate EVERY dime to charity. That makes him a count?

lets not get carried away. We all have seen this before, but really Jordan could have easily paid any gambling debt incurred. He had hundreds of millions of Dollars at the time due to endorsement deals if I'm not mistaken.

and at this point I don't even blame the decision on Lebron. His handlers totally bent him over on that one. I will say he was an idiot for not realizing the magnitude of the hatred he would get for it, but that is all he is really guilty of IMO.

ESPN has done an amazing job of not claiming any responsibility as well.

THEY put the show on and follow it up with a year's worth of specials and commentators ripping, not ESPN, but Lebron for what a terrible idea it was.

Its laughable to watch ESPN guys get on tv and talk about how offended they were by it. Maybe they should shoot an email to their bosses

Nah, not at all.

Nor did I believe the deal with STern "suspending" him for a season or 2 but allowing him to do it under the guise of retiring.
