"But the bottom line is he knows he can't beat anybody. He knows it. He shot 77! That guy can't shoot 77. What does he do the next day? 'Aw my backs gone.' He knows he cant beat anybody!"

You should post the other quotes.

He isnt denying Tiger is injured.

His point was that Tiger knows he is injured, he knows he cant compete, but he is showing up for sponsorship obligations.

I am just telling you what Pat Perez is saying

quote:

""He knows he can't beat anybody," Perez said on the show. He’s got this new corporation he started so he has to keep his name relevant to keep the corporation going. So he’s going to show up to a few events, he’s going to try to play...he’s going to show the Monster bag, he’s going to show the TaylorMade driver, he’s gonna get on TV. He’s got the Nike clothes, he’s gotta keep that stuff relevant."

He's right, and what he said makes perfect sense.

It does. However, Perez comes off as callous and petty. One reason a guy like him, who only has 2 professional wins and somewhat journey career is able to be a multi millionaire is because Tiger brought those sponsors and attention in.

Tiger is not hurt physically. That is pure bullshite. It's mentally where he is hurt. His great friend Notah Begay(sp??) said as much last November or October when he delayed his comeback. Notah said they were trying to make sure he was ready mentally before he came back while on the golf channel.

Tiger has the yips and can't play 4 rounds of competitive golf.

The only one apparently on tour who is willing to say what everyone else is thinking.

I like Pat. But the reasons others arent saying it is becasue they respect Tiger. Pat has always been a free spirit/drunk/weird/cool.

You can laugh all you want. I actually watch golf and news about golf. Tiger is hurting way more mentally than physically as evidenced by his good friend's comments a few months ago.

Tiger loves to make excuses, this is a guy who pops fingers back in place, plays with broken legs, busted knees and finishes tourneys, now he WDs more than anybody.

It's his head....the yips more than his back.

It's a lot easier to play hurt when you're 30 years old than 40. That US Open where he played through a torn ACL was almost 10 years ago

I've seen friends play golf with a cast on a broken leg and another friend play with a hairline fracture in his forearm. I've never heard of anyone playing with serious back spasms though. It's hard to appreciate just how much strain is put on the lower back in a gold swing until you've experienced lower back spasms and the pain associated with them. Almost impossible to play under those circumstances.
