Pretty sad day when Catholic high pumpers have to start bringing up academics to cover up the fact that they just got their asses handed to them by a 3a school.

It is a high school football game. I like to see Catholic win as much as the next guy, but it is what it is. All of those kids don't beat down the door to get into Catholic just to be associated with the best high school football program in Baton Rouge.

3A might be the second worst division in high school football. Why are its championships so important to you?

But if your kid shows promise, Catholic will sure come beat on your door to try to get him into their program.

Because that's where PBS is classified?

I don't think that has been true for at least 10 years. Meanwhile, Parkview gets its share of transfers from local Catholic parochial schools. I am sure they make that move without provocation.

He's using it in a comparative sense. Catholic High isn't in 3A, so it's stupid.

Why did that change? Is it as simple as Catholic deciding to no longer recruit athletes? As someone who has been gone from BR for 20 years, and only sees the scores online, I would like to see all the schools win.
