More like a parody of sports talk in general. They make fun of everything. The name is a play on those two ESPN shows

Ive been putting off listening to it even though Ive read a lot of positive things about it on here. Mainly because I keep confusing it with and associating it with PTI which i hate. So its created this negative association for me that has made me reluctant to listen.
However your review will probably win me over to it. Im going to be doing a lot of driving over the next month since ill be inbetween jobs and moving to Atlanta. So Ill probably binge it soon.

Start listening to the current episodes until you start figuring out what everything is and how the format is like, and then if you really like it like most people do, you can still go back to episode 1 and start listening and find some really funny stuff even if it's a year old. The older episodes set up a lot of their recurring segments and jokes.

Basically it's a hot take show but they are clearly being funny with it. And they aren't censored. It's all humorous.

Yeah outside of the Mike and Mike segment, this one of their worst shows in a very long time. The MicksTape guys are absolute ear cancer, and KAJ was a very boring and awkward interview.

What they're doing is trying to get AWLs to listen to their other podcasts, but it's hurting PMT. I'm definitely not going subscribe to Mickstape either. I can't stand Coley.

That stuff will get worse the bigger Barstool gets. I'm not much of a stoolie per se, I'm really just an AWL. I only like Prez, Big Cat, and PFT.

I have their app and read blogs every now and then. I'll watch Barstool Rundown when I have time. I've given just about all their shows a chance but they just don't do it for me. But PMT for life.

All of Mount Rushmore season is worthy of relistening too. It was always a good show but they hit their stride then.

I had a friend press me to listen to it and I honestly didn't enjoy the first few episodes I listened to. The more I listened and started to understand their schtick and inside jokes the better the show became. I do worry about the Barstool influence on the show going forward.
Big Cat and PFT just work so well together that the show will succeed for a while simply on their chemistry, not to mention they are getting bigger name guests now.
I listen to the Pat McAfee show as well I find it entertaining.

Big cat is on the Mount Rushmore of Barstool personalities, I don't see how barstool can influence the show anymore than that.
Barstool has a large network of podcasts and running video series, but PMT is the only one that has free reign to do whatever the frick they want.
Their new golf podcast went on a free round of golf to TBC sawgrass and Prez was pissed because they didn't get any content out of it and they didn't get approved for it. And while he was bitching at them for it, he straight up went "everyone needs approval except for PMT"
The show has it made at barstool.
