If Pacman would have agreed to the terms and fought Mayweather, he would have been KTFO or beaten into submission 3 years earlier than tonight.

+1 imho on the beaten into submission part/eating alive with speed, counters, if not necessarily the KO. And have always been surprised at some posters here(including some fight aficionados I highly respect), that felt otherwise.

He is the future President of the Philippines. Rock Star status back home really is an understatement. He is a living god.

I don't know how their system works over there, but I truly believe he spends enough time in congress there that this is a very legit possibility.

Well, for one, Mayweather doesn't K anyone TFO. Like, in the past 10 years.

He KOs people who don't believe in defense....ala Ricky Hatton and Arturo Gatti. Manny is the same way...always off balance and leaves his chin wide open for a dangerous hook.

LOL at people looking at KO % to judge power. Floyd does not fight to KO people. He fights using defense and counters.....and people who leave themselves as open as Pacman will get destroyed by him.

You can't KO anyone when you are running from them.

How would Manny need the money? He's had huge payday fights for the last couple years and American dollars streeeeeeeeeeetch in the Phillapines.

he's got his music, his gov't salary. Unless he's funding an islamic terror cell $ shouldn't be a problem for Pac-Man

Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38ko), who has an upcoming fight against Juan Manuel Marquez in November, currently divides his time between fighting, being a musician and actor, as well as working as congressman for the Sarangani province in his native Philippines. It is his political obligations, though, together with his generosity that have contributed to a decline in the Filipino’s financial situation.

Roach (pictured above) tellingly explained to Brin-Jonathan Butler: “He’s broke because of that and all the people he flies around to his fights. He goes through money like you wouldn’t believe. He can’t say no. Of course he’ll have to keep fighting. He does now. He won’t be able to stop – it’s his life.”

I agree with you on this. I love when the Maywether guys talk about the mean streets he came from.

It's fricking Disneyworld compared to where PAC came from.

I didn't say Mayweather lacks power. He certainly does not. All I said was, he hasn't knocked anyone out in a long time, and I doubt he would knock Pacquiao out. I've believed all along that a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would end either in an early-round Pacquiao KO victory or a Mayweather unanimous decision.

Name 1 great performance Mayweather has had in the past 10 years against someone of equal competition?

Cotto was even, but Floyd struggled in that fight

A Pacquiao-Mayweather fight would look like tonight, only worse. Pacquiao wouldn't win a single round against Floyd imo.

Marquez, in reality, is a slower, less intelligent, less defensive version of Mayweather. LOL and if Pacquiao can't do shite against him, what do you think he'd do against Mayweather other than get his face re-arranged??????
