I knew I'd get hammered for placing blame on a Saint's deity. But, Brees has been off. He's not nearly as accurate as he used to be. And, he makes far too many mistakes. DWI

Interception went through Jimmy Graham's hands today and the defense sucked dick for money last week.

Armstead allowed Kruger to get to Brees there at the last second and I think he sailed his pass a bit.

maybe it went through his hands, I couldn't tell.

another thing that killed the Saints was the Karlos Dansby blitz. He came uncontested into the backfield and that sack knocked the Saints out of FG range late in the game.

if they go up 27-23 CLE needs a TD to win instead of a FG.

I'm saying the Saints and the rest of the league lose on the road. When they drop 2 games at home, by all means write them off. Two on the road by 2 and in OT? Sorry, just not that concerned.

You're not making a smart or new argument. It's actually a pretty lazy argument that people make every week in order to try to be different. Brees has taken shots as long as he's been here and he's always thrown interceptions. Making up some cockeyed argument about him regressing doesn't make you a more informed fan.

This could be the result of not running the ball enough. Brees has always thrown a decent amount of interceptions partly because he is so accurate and he's so confident he can fit it in a tight window.

They showed the replay during the game, went right in between both hands. It was thrown high but the dude is 6'6 and got what $40 mil guaranteed? Gotta catch it.

Lol

What game are you watching? He had brown players all over him today. When he had time, he connected with his WRs. Of course he's not accurate when he has to throw 10 balls away to avoid a sack

The Saints defense look brutal. Today was a pretty bad loss for you guys, but 0-2 is not game over. If you lose at home next week to the Vikings, then just pack it in. Matt Cassel was a joke today. No idea if Peterson will play, but it seems fairly unlikely.

It's just the en vogue argument for messageboard Ron Jaworskis to make.

I blame the Saints having garbage WRs for Brees don't looking great more than anything else

Colston is done, Meachem has always been terrible, and Morgan is just pretty much a body

Jury's still out on Stills and Cooks looks good but it's early.

They need to upgrade in a big way and get some WRs that can get open imo

I get the point you are making but this basically could be said about all QBs. Ryan looked like shite today primarily bc of the oline playing like dogshit. Regardless the story will be "how bad ryan played"

For the simple fact that out of all the teams to shite on he chose mine I have enjoyed bumping this thread

LINK

I like the Saints and pull for them when i'm not watching Buffalo...but even IRL there is a percentage of Saints fans who will shite on me for liking my team and never bring up that the Saints success is still fairly new. But I know the ones that are doing it weren't around before this winning started. They are die hard now but I know they didnt go all in until superbowl year...weren't even in this hard during Bush rookie year

Has anyone mentioned that our linebackers are absolutely mediocre. Hell, they may be straight up terrible. Lofton is OK. Galette is horribly overrated but even then that is just two. Hawthorne and Haralson are just mules doing work. With the exception of occasionally Galette, none of these guys are playmakers. I just saw Chris Conti for the bears make an INT and I can't even fathom a single LB for the Saints making a play on the ball.

Bottom line, the Saints defensive personnel is horribly overrated.

LSU fans jumped on the Saints bandwagon and that's when we started getting bad fan reputations.

Isn't Conti a safety?

Can't agree with this enough. Pre-2009, saints fans were a great bunch to be around and talk to. Now, they're unbearable.

I think it's more the year than it beign LSU fans. Of course the bandwagon guys that come in after the superbowl will be more obnoxious and have more of a sense of entitlement. THey weren't gutting it out for those bad years. But, hey, that's every team that's ever won a big championship.

ha my bad.

my point remains the same about our LBs.

When was the last time any of them made a play? They are invisible. Great...Galette may get a sack every other game but they do nothing other than the bare minimum.
