I think that the Houston coach is kinda nuts. He is going out of his way to have a confrontation. Really odd.

It was definitely not a conversation you have on a public radio show.

That will definitely hurt his reputation, seems very immature to air this on radio.

These radio guys are very unprofessional as well. Seems like high school drama with grown men.

That is just something a big time head coach should not do even if the statement is wrong. Him going on national radio and getting into a I'm right you're wrong pissing match makes him look bad. All Herman needed to do is put out a statement and leave it at that, those radio hosts got what they wanted more attention.

Very simply. He told another QB he didn't meet personally with Kyle Allen. The report was inaccurate especially the headline.

He lost on 2 fronts: the argument, and by going on the show giving the story more legs and his opponents more ratings.

Poor choice to debate them.

He absolutely didn't lose the argument. He was being shouted down by two asshats... Which goes to your second point which I agree with.

This is what it's all about. The inaccuracy of the story made Herman look like a liar. And the radio hosts ego is so big they couldn't own up for the mistake.

I would think a poll of listeners would show differently, IMHO. Herman should have challenged them to a football game instead of a debate.

And the fact that the host is an Aggie might have played in as well.

The story is accurate! He did talk with Kyle Allen in hence meeting with him over the phone. The fact that this Coach did this on a radio show is very unprofessional and I am for one glad that LSU did not hire this guy. I would take any coach over him.

Talk about a technicality. I guess to Herman phone conversations are not "in person."
