remember the 80's and Sports Illustrated came out with "What Happened to the White Athlete" - cover story.

I remember this article. I think it was in the early 1990s, like 93 or 94.

I think if a white guy came along with the measurables and desire to play CB, the NFL would jump at that. Could you imagine the jersey sales? He'd be an instant celebrity.

The list of reasons why that area has historically failed to thrive are numerous and have a lot to do with more advanced nations taking advantage of them for their resources.

bruh

this requires an assumption that these nations were on equal footing at the time. they were not

their culture and society was very primitive. i believe there was no written language in all of SSA

if Westerners had never colonized Africa, it would likely never have developed much beyond their status when Western Euopreans arrived

Earl Thomas is not white.

Well, first off, he said the word "arguably"

Second, he graded out as the clear best safety last season on PFF

Personally, I like Smith more. Dude is so good against the run.

Meanwhile, we know exactly why black people jump higher than white people on average.

Can they jump higher than white people when correlated for education and wealth?

They understand what CTS actually is, and opt for less physical roles.

Right. Perhaps they wouldn't have been colonized in the first place had they been more technologically advanced?

Yea, Im sure Bill Bellichick was a stud defensive back in his day.

What cornerback has Bellichick taught how to play football? Gave his expertise on technique to ?

Why didn't he teach a great athlete like Tebow how to play QB & pulled the plug after a couple months?

Bellichick is a frumpy old film freak.

Bellichick & most NFL coaches aren't in the business of teaching anyone how to play football. By the time one makes the NFL one can either play football or he cannot.

Bellichck & Coaches are teaching defensive schemes & constantly drilling execution.

A good position coach ( who actually knows how to play the position & has been there) can probably impart some real life wisdom/ pointers.

Rex Ryan can only show Darelle Revis & others the best local buffets, but not how to play Cornerback. Nor Bellichick.

NFL coaches aren't in the business of teaching players how to play. They can't.

Execution( attention to detail) & scheme is their expertise .
