Ohio state selling beer at football games

Thoughts?
Seems the trend is moving that direction. There is money to be made.
It definitely seems like most venues sell it in the suites already....so in reality there are no principles being broken here that aren't already broken. Its just a matter of giving the middle class drinkers some access.
Do you want this at your stadium?

As a fan of a school that sells beer at every game, I cannot see any reason as to why you would not.

Tiger Stadium selling beer would be insanity.
All in.
All in.

I really don't see any reason not to. If someone wants to drink they'll just bring it in anyways. Might as well make money off of it.

My only thing is how would TS sell it to students? How would they regulate that?
But I doubt we'd have trouble getting people to stay the entire game with this.

I can't see how it's gone this long without it. Adults, in an adult, social setting, but alcohol is prohibited? I could see student sections being an issue, but why prohibit the majority based on a minority. Even then I'm sure stadiums could figure some way to help prevent that if necessary.
Plus the profits to be made would seem hard to pass up.

Plus we've been getting pretty good beer selection, especially at Cajuns' baseball games.

It could only help with third quarter fan retention. Fans may stay tipsy enough to forget it's time to leave.

The student section is showing up drunk no matter what you do. At least if you're selling beer at the game, there's some incentive for people to not try to get blackout drunk before the game. May create better pacing.

LSU really should start selling at baseball games. It would huge. Then they could bring it over to football after seeing how well it works out there.

Might take awhile for JoeAillet beer sales BUT they offer it & liquor in the new Davison South Endzone complex....so I don't understand why they wouldn't just sell it to general public.

I see what you're saying, but wouldn't say the two crowds correlate overly well. Baseball is a bit more of a gentlemen's sport and crowd. It's more laid back than the "fu*k him up" football crowd.

I think the biggest thing with LSU is TAF ain't strapped for cash. Until they start hurting for cash I don't think Tiger Stadium will sell it
Unless I'm getting it wrong and TAF doesn't get concession money.

That won't end well. They already shite in coolers pregame.
