I don't get the love for WKU. I'll take Vandy.

I agree

And I am on the opposite side of the public on most of my bets so I feel good.

Me too mane. WKU has a good QB but their defense was fricking atrocious last year. Vandy brings back a ton and should be able to run it down WKU's throat with Webb

What's going on with Vandy's QB situation? They've also had some injuries on offense. I doubt I'll touch that game though.

Anyone else like under 74.5 for Baylor SMU?

I do but I didn't play it - I hate playing totals early

My sheets showed its set to go under, but it really depends on when Baylor takes their foot off the gas. I don't see SMU scoring more than 10-14 so Baylor will need at least 60 to go over. Will they run it up that much?

They only went over 50 four times last year. Their defense should be improved. I understand their ability to plug and go at QB, but that is still a large amount of points to go get.

This fo sho. I havent had time to do any research, but Duke opened at -11 getting 65% and line dropped to 9. Tulane looking pretty good.

I dont think. I think people tend to think these things are that significant to justify making a play the other way.

Gotta put my picks in.. Probably have them ready to go by mid week.

Anyone want to run a pool? Pick 10 games per week with spreads listed in a weekly OP?

Nine 1 unit picks and one 2 unit GOW? Maybe one 5 unit GOY for the season? If you don't submit your plays one week, you go 0-10 and -11 units?

Run it though W1-W14?

Grab some lines and put them into the OP early Monday. Don't link a site because those lines will change throughout the week.

Anyone who wants to enter just picks 10 games and selects one of them as a 2U GOW. If they feel they have a GOY play, they can select another as a 5U play. Obviously, you only get 1 GOY pick, so choose wisely.

Other rules:
1. Keep all of your plays in 1 post, not 1 play in 10 posts.
2. Picks must be in before the game starts. Duh.
3. No editing of posts after game starts. Duh
4. Selecting a GOW play isn't required, but the winner will be decided on Total + units, not %.

If people want to put up $10, someone can set up something in league safe. If not, it'll be for TD CFB Capper of the Year title.

I'll run it if you want me to. I would probably just create two separate threads, though. It would be difficult to keep track of people's actual bets and their contest plays if the two are being intermingled.

Lol I was coming in here to update my earlier post about a contest for the regulars of this thread.

Wanted a structure that was flexible to accommodate all the different betting styles we have in here, this is what I came up with.

King of College Football Bet Thread Contest

8 betting units each week to make a minimum of 3 picks and a maximum of 8 picks.

A maximum of 4 units on any 1 game

Fairly simple structure that would be a good way to determine the best of the bet thread, all for good fun and of course bragging rights.

Only issue I havent determined is what lines to use, I'm thinking posting lines Wednesday evening as the contest lines but am open for suggestions.
