Airline at WM tonight at 5 to start the season. Pretty loaded lineup this year for WM. I couldn't imagine being your average HS pitcher and facing LSU, Ole Miss, LA Tech, LSU commits in a single inning. I doubt Garner plays much day to day. The freshman LSU commit started out a tad rocky on the mound in the jamboree before settling down. Started off HBP, swinging bunt to first and a miscommunication between him and 1B, walk to load the bases. Only for him to to strike out the side. Only run was on a wild pitch during the last AB. Then he stepped up and went 2-2 at the plate. Pearson-LSU, Federico-Ole Miss, Hawsey-Tech is crazy to have to face in a row. BTW, those 3 are juniors. So all 4 return next year. Should be a fun group to watch the next few years.

Once again the New Orleans area getting outclassed by the rest of the state. Only 1 team in the top 10 (#10) and only 1 player in the top 10 from each class.

I am always so confused about how everyone around here acts like the Nola Catholic Schools are Louisiana’s gift to baseball.

The Catholic schools are alright. It’s the Northshore and river parish schools that underperform

Pretty sure I played baseball with Brayden Garner’s dad at J-Hodge I may be wrong though. If it’s the same kid I think it is, his dad was throwing straight gas 96-98 as senior but he got a girl pregnant and dropped out of high school. Guy had a bright future but threw it all away.

If I am reading things correctly, looks like Barbe has crushed STM and Tuerlings to start the year.

dunno

they have some really good teams, but are not nearly as good as many make them out to be. at all.

JC, Jesuit, HC, BM are all quality and will prolly end up in the top 20 in the state. But by comparison

Lake Charles will have barbe, st louis, sam houston, sulphur in the top 20. plus have quality programs in iowa, grand lake, westlake, Iota, south beau and rosepine that all will make deep runs.

Lake Charles metro is 20% of nola metro.

i will say out of the metro areas in the state of producing quality programs especially when you factor in population

1a- Lake Charles
1b- BR
2- Laff
3- nola

pretty sad to be honest

here is the preseason LBCA rankings by class

They've only played jamboree games prior to today (possibly scrimmages). Several schools have players and possibly starters still playing basketball. They would not have played those players in a jamboree. Beginning today, those guys will probably be regulated to the team they are more valuable to.

Cliffs Notes: Jamborees don't mean shite.
