STM-Acadiana is way bigger because these two teams are the best teams they have ever had

this acadiana team would get waxed by the '05 rams and they didnt even win state(think they would have if kellen theriot didnt shred his knee in the jamboree which led us to start a freshman QB all year)not even mentioning the team that actually did win state.

Shows says this damn near every year eventhough none of WM's teams compare to 98. Just saying...

Ok, since you were obviously on the team in 05, congrats! But your statement is really just silly. The 05 team would not have waxed this team, simply because of the fact that the OLine is much better this year. And as you know, its the OLine who runs the show at acadiana.

actually davidson does not say that every year .. if you knew him he is probally the most humble person ever so him saying that about his team is a huge statement

Olerebels.com, haven't posted just reading. Their pissed about having to play at LGP.

Wrong!!!!!! SOME are pissed, not all, that WM is playing at LGP. I don't care where we play. WM is in the semi's again and it's an honor to be playing this week. We would play on a parking lot if we had to. So don't lump all WM fans into one pile. There is one particular fan that is pissy and that's it!!!

No one better count out either Feliciana team, they both are very talented and both blew out very good opponents this past week.

5A

(4)West Monroe @ (24)Westgate - Westgate in the semis? They did beat 3 solid teams in the playoffs, but this is West Monroe. WM in a sleeper 49-7.

(27)Acadiana @ (2)St. Thomas More - STM has really impressed me taking down 2 schools I follow pretty closely. Acadiana has been pissed off in the playoffs. STM won't beat them as bad as the first time. STM 35-21

4A

(20)Teurlings @ (1)Karr - Karr rolls 28-20 in the game I could care least about.

(15)OP Walker @ (6)Franklinton- OPW pulled off the upset over Salmen and keep it up over Bastrop. Franklinton is proving the 6th seed was too low for them. This is the game I would most like to attend this week. Franklinton wins a nail bitter. 34-28

3A

(1)Notre Dame @ (5)Parkview - Game of the Week I picked ND to go to the Dome, but I never realized how good Parkview is. The 2 losses are to Dutchtown and Acadiana. They have wins over Redemptorist and West Feliciana. Parview is the more battle tested team and will be at home. Parkview 27-21

(11)West Feliciana @ (7)Patterson - Patterson is healthy at the right time. WF is in over their heads. Patterson 38-21

2A

(4)East Feliciana @ (1)John Curtis - When is the last time Curtis hasn't been to the dome? I know they have gone every year since 2000, but I don't know how many times in row they have been before 2000. Well the streak doesn't end. Curtis in a blow out 42-7

(3)St. Charles @ (2)Evangel- Yawn. Evangel vs Curtis for the 3rd straight year in 2A. Evangel 35-28.

1A

(9)Ouachita Christian @ (4)South Plaquemines - Porr OCA they travel all the way to the ends of the world to recieve the beating of a liftime. SP wins 56-10

(15)White Castle @ (3)Oberlin - Upset special I just can't pick against White Castle. They have been my cinderella this season.

1st rd: 68-14
2nd rd: 28-12
3rd rd: 13-7

5A: 21-7 (0-3 with Westgate)
4A: 20-8
3A: 20-8
2A: 23-5
1A: 23-5

My picks to win it all from the start:
5A: Dutchtown - Out
4A: Franklinton
3A: Redemptorist - Out
2A: John Curtis
1A: South Paquemines

I don't see how you can go against the team who took your team to "win it all" out. WHS wins a close one.

Yeah, I'm not sure OCS wins. In fact I picked South Plaq but, no way they hold OCS to 10. Against 1A opponents this year OCS has scored:

41, 41, 48, 42, 63, 56, 55, and 41.

Their average score is 48.4 to 15 against other 1A teams. They have one of, if not the top passer numbers wise in the state. I don't see them getting shut down.

Well we will see. Only one 1A team has learned how to score some on SoPlaq and that was Oak Grove 2 games ago. In 9 1A games they are only allowing 7.1 points a game. Take out the oak grove game and they have only allowed 38 points to the other 8 teams including 2 shutouts and only one other team reaching double digit points. They also held some 4A and 5A teams in check.

Glad you brought them up. OCS beat Oak Grove 48-14 at Oak Grove while South Plaq beat them 40-26 at home. Coupled with South Plaq's coach not exchanging tapes while OCS probably got the tape from Vic...I like OCS's chances of putting up more than 10.

Great article in this morning's Picayune about Freak and Magee being friends since they're both committed to LSU. I hope this game is on local/New Orleans Cox Sports so I can either DVR it or watch the repeats later this week. This game will be fan-freaking-tastic.
