PATTERSON to the DOME!!!!!!!!

I have watched a few of Patterson's games on TV and I am totally unimpressed with the Hilliard kid. He looks really really slow on TV. Especially last week.

you are forgetting it is STM in the playoffs. They ALWAYS blow it.

Acadiana-28
STM-24

ULL should allow STM vs AHS to use Cajun Field on Friday and on Saturday have Westgate vs WM. Win-Win situation if the cajuns aren't playing this weekend

only think keeping West Monroe from becoming a ghost town this weekend . . . not enough visitor tickets at Westgate.

Westgate has tiny bleachers on the visitors side thats about 8-10 rows up and reaches from about the 20 to the 20...

When SL played there last year in the 1st round, we filled up the visitors side, had fans standing all around the fence, and had half the home side filled up as well.

Hopefully Westgate can pull off the upset and represent the new Bayou District in the finals...

this is because are Cross town Rivals, NISH, are usually at home and not in the playoffs, break into the stadium and put bird seeds on the bleachers and it makes the birds shite all over our stadium.

Up until the playoffs he's been hindered with injuries. In the first two playoff games he had something like 400 yards and 9 touchdowns.

He was playing one of the better defenses in the state on the road last week and still managed over 120 yards and 2 touchdowns WITHOUT breaking off any really long runs like Hill did. How is that not impressive?

Bitterman is touting the Acadiana/STM game as the most important football game in Lafayette history.

IMO, STM vs. Northside semi-finals at STM in 2004 is still bigger... Especially since there was a brawl between the ENTIRE 2 teams two years prior, racial tensions were still high, and STM/Northside had become a huge rivalry... STM was the no.1 seed and beat Keiland William's Vikings by 3 scores at Northside in the regular season, but the Vikes won the semi in 2OT... That game was a pure classic

IMO, STM-Acadiana is way bigger because these two teams are the best teams they have ever had and whoever wins has a good shot to beat WM. Neither Northside nor STM was going to beat John Curtis in 2004.

Well, that may be true, however, at the time, it was STMS best ever, and the first No. 1 playoff seed in school history, and it was also Northside's best, and Northside has never since been as good as that team was, and probably won't field a better team for a long time.

ETA: Also, it still remains to be seen if this year's STM team is better than the 2004 team. That team did have a legit shot at beating Curtis. They were extremely balanced, and Northside got crushed in the dome because they had absolutely no passing attack.

I'll be there.....early. I hear WM is going to try and pack the home side. I've been reading their message board, I've never seen a bunch of whiners like them.
