I'm not. People have been saying the boogie trade as described by woj isn't going to get done

There's been quite a lot of chatter since last night that the Lakers are suddenly leaning towards Russell over Okafor. It's probably just a bluff but it could be something to keep an eye on.

I'm really hoping LA can trade for Cousins but not if it means draining all of our assets to do so

Indicative of Houston's plans to get off money, word is both Terrence Jones and Rockets' No. 18 pick in first round are both very available

Russell going to LA would be awesome. As long as he goes before New York, I'll be happy.

I'm all for finding a way to land Cousins as he's one of the top 10 players in the league right now. He's got a ton of room to improve too as he's a bit of a dumbass when it comes to shot selection, fouls and his overall attitude at times.

I just don't trust Jim Buss at all when there's a chance to land a star player. I've always like Kupchak, but Jim is a tool that doesn't let people do their job. Hell I would rather the Lakers draft Russell over trading the #2, Randle, Clarkson and taking on Landry. Landry is twice as expensive as Randle and half the player at this stage.

My hope is the Lakers just draft Okafor and move forward with a young core and a ton of cap space for next summer.

I just refuse to believe that LA would even entertain that deal. Woj worded it like LA was offering the #2 and maybe one of Randle/Clarkson for Boogie.

I will have severely underestimated Jim's stupidity if he makes that deal.

Seriously I love the idea of Lakers fans being so upset by having to give up so much for such a good player.

We aren't in a position to trade all of that. I'm just being realistic.

Besides, I'm used to LA trading for superstar big men for pennies on the dollar

#2 and Bobby Sacre should get it done.

After the first 4 picks, is the rest of the draft worth watching?

I hope Okafor, he is a big asset at this point.

Hell yea it is, this is really a pretty deep draft LH.

All of those overseas players are damn good, plus all of the Kentucky players and then the 2 LSU guys...

If you draft Okafor and he is a homerun, then he is on par with the player Cousins is right now. Do the deal, use your remaining cap room to sign a proven player (as opposed to hoping Randle pans-out), wait for Kobe's contract to expire and the accelerating salary cap. The Lakers would have a ton of money to throw around. You won't make any noise in 15/16, but you weren't going to anyway.

I would be ecstatic as a Lakers fan if it played out that way.

I mean I'd rather have demarcus, but I don't think it happens without giving up everything. I'll give up #2 and julius or jordan. But not all 3

Why? I think it would be cool to see how him and Melo work. A lot of scoring between the two.

Oklahoma City, Houston and Boston appear to be the most aggressive teams trying to trade up right now. Atlanta also sniffing around I'm told

Lakers beat writer Kevin Ding says LA is taking D'Angelo Russell with the #2 pick

Also, there's this

quote:

David Aldridge ?@daldridgetnt

David Aldridge retweeted KEVIN DING

If @KevinDing says it's Russell for the Lakers, they have a big in their back pocket via free agency/trade....

Russell + Aldridge would be better than Boogie and no pick.
