Ducks scored on 2 breakaway goals and a PP.

If i said the following without telling you the score, youd think the stars would be leading or at least in the game: Stars had 3 PPs, owned puck possession, had less giveaways and was out shooting the ducks 2:1 with about 5 minutes left to go in the 1st (total shots were 14:10 at the end of the period).

They just haven't done anything with those advantages while the Ducks are taking advantage of every break they get. I guess that's the difference between a #1 seed with a ton of playoff experience and a #8 seed with very little depth & experience.

Edit: breakaways isn't really the correct term. It was two odd man rushes they scored on

Was at the Lightning/Canadiens game. Great crowd and fun as hell to watch but the goaltender can't be facing 50 shots.

Almost, should give the Stars some momentum for sure.

One timer to the mouth of Ryan Getzlaf late, he could be out awhile.

he sure didn't hesitate in getting off.

but yeah I think if they can get 1 on this first trip, it could set up a really interesting series. I hate throwing out historical stats especially considering we haven't been to the playoffs in six years, but the Stars play really well at home during the playoffs. the AAC will be really rowdy, especially if we can win Friday

Good comeback. Getzlaf got cracked! I wanna know what the damage is. You could see the blood on the ice.

Boudreau says Getzlaf is currently getting stitched up, but as far as he knows Ryan has not broken anything and should be okay #TSN

No one in the NHL is going to miss a playoff game because they lost some teeth. This isn't the NBA. Getzlaf ain't gonna miss a game, and it's a black mark on his ledger that he even missed a shift (not really, but come on... hockey player)

Good first night. Not a lick of defense played all night, but it was a bunch of fun. Things haven't locked down yet, so it was fun to see some open ice.

I'm so disappointed in my Habs last night.

CP31 CP31's and allows 4 on 16 shots, play atrocious D and Pernell looked uninterested.

Then in OT they try to give away the thing twice more. I was hoping Briere would fix the issue of playoff flops. I am glad they got home ice though.

Therion has to be thinking why are we even toying around with these clowns.

Decent win and need 15 more.
