Absolutely the defining point of the match.

And I'll play sore loser but when djok is out of gas why does he get to just sit around and catch his breath on rafa serve?

They had these three random sponsor and representatives getting up and talking forever at the start of the trophy presentation. Djok and Rafa were standing off to the side literally about to collapse.

At one point they're both clinging to the net until two ball boys run out with chairs. I think it was pseudo-wrap up music because the talking heads got the point and wrapped it up quickly haha.

Fed needs to keep sending Novak gift baskets for all these titles he keeps away from Nadal and Fed's slam record.

Sampras needs to send nadal gift baskets then. Without nadal, fed probably wins somewhere in the mid twenties. He'd be considered the greatest player in history on every surface.

He just met his kryptonite: a high topspin lefty forehand to his one handed backhand. Then nadal met his: a player with an elite two handed backhand whI can handle his topspin.

Yea it's pretty crazy how much the game of tennis, like all sports, is about matchups. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rafa in his prime, beats Fed 7 out of 10 times. Djok in his prime prob beats Rafa 8 out of 10 times. Fed in his prime prob beats Djok 6 out of 10 times. It's nuts how good these guys are.

The reason I still don't universally accept Fed as GOAT is because he had no Rafa or Djok early in his career.

I feel bad for Murray. In most eras, he's a 5-10 time grand slam cham.

All of this is even excluding the beast in the room: Del Potro.

If he gets back to pre-injury form, we're looking at a blood bath at 1-5.

This bugged me a little too, and I like Novak.
