Yeah, could be worse. I'm moving in 2 weeks and the apt comes with a 40" flat screen. Works out, I guess.

Yeah, kinda, but would have been nice to have a bedroom TV.

Back on topic, I realize that Nolan was great for the Angels too, I just found it humorous that the thought of him using anything cannot even be discussed as within the real of possibilities.

It can be, but I would be willing to bet a lot he never roided.

And since some guy was kind enough to steal my TV this weekend, I won't be watching any anytime soon.

Ryan did do something that shocked the baseball world. He lifted weights. Prior to Ryan, pitchers lifting in the weightroom was taboo. He changed the way pitchers prepared to play. He was hitting the weights long before steroids found their way into the game.

Yeah, that's what Canseco and McGwire all said at first.

But a good case that he never touched them is that he never was the dominate pitcher of his era. During his time, Carlton, Seaver, Guidry, and non-roids Clemens all were considered the dominating pitcher of his era. Ryan was never a consistent 20 game winner and never came close to Cy Young or MVP seasons.

I thought Ryan was a good pitcher, but in reality his won/loss percentage is in Milt Pappas territory and Ryan had a great fastball, but not much else.

Which had a lot to do with his longevity. The breaking balls are what wear out a pitcher's body.

The lack or Rangers threads is probably due to the 9 start times in the central time zone for this west coast swing.

And Scuba, that sucks. Did you have renter's insurance?

He had a pretty good curve, too.

We're not talking about Nolan on that reference. If you've ever been on a Rangers thread, whenever the Rangers win Scuba posts a picture of a kitten snorting coke (a reference to Ron using the blow two years ago). Thus, Coke Kitty.

Nope... He busted his arse in the gym. Started tailoring workouts to meet his needs at that age.

And steroids facilitate those things...

Seriously, do people REALLY think that taking roids REPLACES working out at the gym?

The truth is that people take roids so that they can work out MORE.
