I don't think they wasted it with the chance(s) they had. Empty netter there FTW tho

Stars win but you have to give it to the Avalanche. They just don’t give up. It’s going to be a great series

That late push does not serve well for Dallas.

Wow full ice empty netter to seal it for Dallas. They have to be relieved — going down 2-0 after blowing substantial leads in both games would have been tough to recover from.

Already has been thru 2 games. If the Stars can stop collapsing, or if the Avs can come find a way to not spot Dallas a huge lead, this series could could go so many ways. Both teams are dominating 50% of the game. A 5% shift is the difference between game 1 and game 2. GF/GA are even at the moment. If it stays that close over the next 3, I'm calling Dallas in 5. But, I was way off on my pre-series evaluation.

Does Rod sound like he's counting moral victories or like a coach that just knows he's outmatched? I really can't tell. He seems like a great players' coach that's lost some tough games. At the same time, the numbers/stats are clearly in the NYR's favor. No links, just watching postgame coverage after the Stars/Avs game

I think this series goes back to Dallas 3-1 Avs.I expected a 4-1 or 5-1 Stars win yesterday because Dallas really had their back against the wall and can’t believe the Avs had a chance to tie it at the end. Defensive lack of depth will catch up to the Stars the next two games in Denver. Avs in 6.

I think the Stars are the best overall team in the NHL and they’re certainly going to have to earn it if they win it all. What a first two round gauntlet for them.

I finally hit big on a bet last night after getting worked the first round , had Mavs ML + Stars -1.5 parlay and while the Stars were up 4/0 heading into the third I was hedging a little and put some on OKC ML live. Mavs hit and then the Stars start to melt down so I’m trying to take Avs and they make it 4-2, I take Avs +2.5 big and am pissed thinking I’m going to barely win shite after looking golden. And then Avs make it 4-3, Stars score the empty net called off by the high stick and then…that full ice prayer goal. Stars win, my Avs +2.5 gets back my hedge on OKC ML and I win BIG. I was up til 2am because I was so wired from that third period.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Also need Florida vs NYR in the ECF. Would be an all out war!

It was I was standing up by the tv for the final 2 minutes. In all my years of watching hockey, I think the Avs offense this season is the most lethal one I’ve seen where it seems like any time they have a rush down ice they can score or get a great chance out of it. Yeah Edmonton is great too but the Avs just have so many guys that can make you pay.
