NFL sponsors hypocrisy for all to see

Pepsi Co, Radisson and Anheuser Busch all had something to say regarding their respective "concerns" with the NFL and its player conduct "off the field". Yet, we have seen 2 NFL owners, Jim Irsay and Jimmy Haslem have legal issues over the past year. One for a drug arrest and the other due to an FBI probe into his company, but not one of the sponsors mentioned above or sponsors for the Colts or Browns had anything to say regarding any concerns that the legal issues these owners were involved in and how it tarnished the leages image in some way.
No calls from any sponsor, State Governor or anyone for that matter to ban/suspend Jim Irsay or Jimmy Haslem until their legal issues were resolved, but Adrian Peterson cant have due process?
Jerry Jones has a civil lawsuit right now regarding sexually assaulting a woman (alledgedly), but not one Cowboys sponsor has said anything about how it makes the league look.
Just shocked no one is calling them out for this clear bias

It is not just the NFL. Nike pulls Peterson jerseys off the shelves because of the child abuse case, yet they abuse the frick out of kids in sweatshops across the globe.

Peterson is much more important and visible in relation to the image of the NFL than a couple of old rich white dudes who your average fan wouldn't recognize.
It's not necessarily fair but that's how it is.

Yup, it sucks. Basically, just think about whatever the right and moral thing would be to do and then go ahead and assume that the NFL will do the exact opposite. That goes for alot of things in this country and gets to the very heart of why we have so many problems. Too many people are blind sheep and are immoral and arent intelligent enough to read between the lines. People have a sense of entitlement and that sense of entitlement is a disease that has infected our culture.

The only relateable one is Jerry Jones since his actions directly affected another person, allegedly.
This is a stretch IMO and Irsay did take a leave of absence and underwent counseling and was punished and fined by the league.

Minnesota and Minneapolis/St Paul get so much ignorant hate. Fantastic state and really clean, modern city/ies of 3.5 million.

People in the south lump it in with the rust belt for some reason. Aside from the winters it's a very nice area with a vibrant economy

Anywhere that isn't the south and/or Louisiana are trashy, dying, pasty white people. And the smart ones are wising up and moving to the south.
But in all honesty, Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, has a great outdoor quality that many in LA would respect and admire, it's gorgeous country.

Top 10 baseball stadium, soon to be top 5 NFL stadium, top 5 NHL stadium (St. Paul), fun NBA team, strip clubs downtown, hot women, great art scene and restaurant scene, tons of corporate headquarters.
Minneapolis / St Paul is basically Seattle with worse weather.

Correct.
It's all about exposure and recognition. That's what sponsorship is about. The players on the field are who people know.

That's a great looking baseball stadium

Agree to a certain extent, but those guys aren't the faces of the franchises... I'd be willing to be that less than 10% of football fans could name them and what teams they own, whereas almost everyone can tell you who AP is and who he plays for.
Its all about perception. Sucks, but its the truth.

The NFL front office got a lot of heat to punish Irsay for his indiscretions due to the conduct policy that players have to abide by.
This was a big story back when it happened, people just have short term memories for this kind of thing.

Kind of disagree. The are stating their concern is over the leagues image. Jim Irsay got busted for a DUI and drugs.
Haslem didnt even have the team for a year and the FBI started busting thru his doors bacause of their rebate scam
So have a drugged out owner and another who's company was proven to have bilked billions from people, execs went to jail and the company fined almost 100 million. That doesnt make the league look good, yet the sponsors said nothing about the image it projects on the league.
Just makes their AP comments ring hollow to me

There are no bloody kids or knocked out women so the moral high ground isn't as high.

Did it cost him his career?

This isn't going to cost AP his career.
Overreact much?
