I think this could be a cool MSB feature throughout the rest of the year. We could rank the top 5 teams (and some other teams you think are in contention) and see how your top 5 compares now until the end of the season.

I'll just bump Monday Night following Monday Night Football every week.

1) New England Patriots
2) Green Bay Packers
3) Arizona Cardinals
4) Atlanta Falcons
5) Denver Broncos

Contention: Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers are nowhere near top 5 until Roethlisberger gets back

That's why they're in my contention.

Their offense will be lethal when Big Ben gets back. Leveon Bell is now back and Martavius Bryant will also be back this week.

I can't take this list seriously without the Bengals even in contention.

You're right, this is the year Andy Dalton goes on a Joe Flacco type playoff run. I can't see any scenario where he just shits the bed and takes the most talented team in the NFL down with him.

No Bengals, no care. If you don't have Bengals in the top 5, you have blinders on.

It's always possible with Dalton, if not likely at this point.

But all of their weapons are finally healthy, their defense is playing pretty well and their running game is both power and speed.

It might be the most complete team in the NFL and they've proven it on the field thus far at 1pm EST in September and October.

We'll see come night games and the playoffs.

they are power rankings. the dude just listed 8 teams and left out the 4-0 bengals who have looked awesome. i think leaving the bengals out of your top 8 at this point in the season is idiotic.

again, power rankings, not pick your super bowl participants.

I don't have any hate for the Cincy Bengals. They would be my 9th overall team right now, mainly because of the Andy Dalton effect. He's played well this year thus far, but he has always shown a tendency to implode.

Overall, Cincinnati has a really good team.

Not on my list.

Again, it's an opinionated list that will almost definitely change as the season progresses. It will be bumped every week as teams will flip-flop, be moved down and moved up.

I've always wondered what the MSB would be like with more "top 5" lists.

Every year it's, "The Bengals are Superbowl contenders," then Dalton shites the bed. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. I don't see it happening with him as QB. There's just too much talent around him for him to be making boneheaded mistakes playoff appearance after playoff appearance.

1. NE
2. GB
3. Arizona
4. Atlanta
5. Caroline or Seattle.

Seattle will be legit with Kam back.

I can't see Broncos being in top 5 with Peyton's noodle arm.

Denver's defense is capable of winning games, as we've seen, but yeah...they have pressing needs at offensive line and Peyton Manning has been hit or miss this season. Offensive line really scares me but they seem to be improving as the season goes on.
