Now let's not get carried away here.

So what does this mean for now?

Legal battle and it becomes unlikely that the NFL plays a full season next year

I really don't care how much money someone else makes, whether it's player, owner, teacher, mailman, etc. because it doesn't concern me. I like football and want to watch football games. Until games are actually lost then it doesn't affect me.

this is going to drag out in the court system well into the regular season. If these guys really gear up for a legal battle they could lose alot of games.

Yeah. This could easily go into the '12 season

So who are essentially the bad guys here?

I say both are. Ya see I am old school. I have watch the league evolve from The 60's with the AFL and NFL before the merger. Some folks that are on here [say 30 and younger] don't realize what it was about back then. So YES greed plays a big roll with me on this.

NASCAR's chase for the championship may get a nice bump in ratings this year.

The problem is that neither side is budging at all.

If the players agree to 18 game season the Owners should agree to pay the NFLPA whatever they are asking, and vise versa.

how about no on that one. CFB will get huge ratings this year if there is no NFL (I still think they settle around late July and we get the NFL in a slightly shorter form this year).

And I blame the owners in all this. It's the owners who started all this shite by not being able to decide among themselves to do revenue sharing. The players would be more then happy under the old deal. They aren't asking for more money. They're concerned with their own safety (18 game schedule) and fairness of revenue sharing (opening the finances for audit)

Cause nothing at stake yet. Closer we get to sept. and aug. much more likely we see a deal. I'm not ready to admit to missing games.

Courts and eventually Congress will apply pressure to both sides if it goes to far

Just think of all the television networks and sponsors are going to be hurting.

Bud Light might have to start selling ads to nickelodeon or some shite.
