DROY Marcus Peters, leads league in pass deflections as a rookie.

OROY Todd Gurley, 3rd in league in rushing yardage on a shortened year. Amari Cooper can be discussed but i don't see how he has anything better than Gurley.

Peters also gets burned like toast. High risk, high reward player.

Winston is going to win it, too many people who have actual votes are voting for him.

I'm sorry, why should Cooper win it?

he's played in every game, leads all WRs in receptions, yards, and TDs

Gurley's been great, but in the 8 games since his 4 straight 100yd games, he's averaged 3.95 YPC and just 67yards per game.

Or as much as David Johnson over the same period of time(one game in which where he registered zero carries), who only started 4 of those games.

JJ Watt for both because they like to give him everything imaginable.

Marcus Peters and Gurley.

David Johnson is my dark horse OROY though. Kid has been very good and is very versatile. Has TDs rushing, receiving, and a kick return too.

Come again? Amari Cooper is outside of the top ten In all of those categories. unless you're talking about rookie, if so, no ones arguing about RWROTY....

And if you're going to throw out Gurleys best games, then do the same for Amari....

Gurley has been impressive, but so has Cooper. Its a tossup imo.

He leads all rookies in those categories, I figured it was understood since this is a thread about rookies.

i didn't throw them out, They came consecutively, early in the season. Im more speaking of the consistency of both. Gurley hasnt maintained similar production since then.

Gurley in those 4 games: 142 YPG

8 games since: 67 yards per game

he's literally averaging half of what he was doing in that record breaking stretch.

Gurley is top 3 in the NFL of rushing. He's a no brainer pick

Cooper has had his own stretch of terrible games

Jameis Winston should be in consideration for OROY. Close to 4000 total yards and 27 total TDs
