So guys who are drafted high and expected to come in and immediately contribute/play well 6 months later, somehow would be helpless and only get hurt in that game?? Not sound logic.
How many players do you think come in the league and IMMEDIATELY. Contribute? The answer is very small. And you could not field an entire team of guys that could do it

Having a different opinion of how the best college players would play versus some of the WORST NFL players doesn't qualify as this as a "retarded thread".
Yet, when someone disagrees with you (peacefully, I might add) they're not using 'sound logic' and they're 'embarrassing themselves'.
Okay, now I understand...
It's not the thread that's retarded.

You're compiling a team of players who have never played with each other, play in different schemes, and are asked to take a glorified scrimmage seriously.
Result is a very out of sync running a basic offense and defense with players that really have no reason to be giving their full effort in a game they don't get that much compensation for.
And you want to put that up against a NFL team to watch?

I'm going to go out on a very short leash and say Kansas City is bad enough for our experiment.
Offensive Line:
B Albert, J Allen, B Lilja, J Asamoah, E. Winston.
All they would have to do is run to Albert's side.

That's a logic counter argument. I'm not saying it would be extremely close or wouldn't be a 30 point win...but I'm saying with a good/great class of college players it COULD be close.

Then you have a dumb argument.

Was I not being peaceful in return? I'm not calling anyone retarded like you are...I just think its a fun discussion.
I'll say it again, I'm not saying its likely or not, I just think versus the right bad team, the college guys COULD have a chance at keeping it close.

Why does this topic come up every year and why do people continue to ignore the history of the Chicago All-Star game...and how the NFL realized the change in the NFL and separation of athletes in the 1970's?
It's only gotten worse since then.

Even great classes take 3 years before they are labeled as such. Id guess of the first two rounds (guys most likely to be on the college allstar team) every year you have at the most 15-20 guys contribute in their rookie years significantly. And that doesnt even mean they are even that good in the league at that point. And that number is skewed high because of QBs that get drafted to play is so high but not all could be on said all star team
So you want to have 15 or so guys that can ball with NFLer in the slightest and a whole lotta "other" players that arent physically ready for the league, going up against a 53 man well oiled superbowl winning team thats been playing together all season?

I'm going with it happens because college tickets are cheaper than NFL tickets.
When you see these guys in college, yes they are massive, the change from HS to college is crazy.
Then you see NFL sized athletes.
That is literally a 34 nose tackle that dropped back into coverage.

No, against the worst team in the league. I'd also argue there are more than 15.

Well then argue. Show me a season where there were more

Fine, you called my bluff. I'm sitting in an pub in Galway, Ireland and have been drinking Guinness all day while waiting for a friend to arrive. No chance I'm doing anything more than literally saying, "I'll argue that point".
