This flies in the face of those pictures circulating online today, I know. But that’s what we’re hearing. Best to wait until someone actually lays eyes on a new helmet or jersey, at this point, I suppose. And a real one, not something on a hanger in a store.

UPDATE (6:52 p.m.): The Ducks will test out the black helmets tomorrow in practice after being shown a sample after tonight’s workout. Jeremiah Johnson said it was black with a yellow “O” logo.

And as a follow up to the jersey deal, someone ELSE who would know told me later today to hedge my bets. So, I’m going to quit all this jersey crap until I actually see one for myself, preferably on a player.
