"Neutral site" games that really aren't.

What's the deal with all of these "neutral site" games that aren't really neutral?

If Ole Miss and FSU are playing a neutral site game, it needs to be in Virginia.

If LSU and Wisconsin are playing a neutral site game, it needs to be in Delaware.

ETA: These de-facto home games are annoying. I'm not butt hurt, but Ole Miss played a road game last night.

LSU at least got a game in Houston where we had 65% of the crowd.

Idk if Ole Miss negotiated the same with FSU. Could have played a game in Memphis or Nashville as a return trip.

Texas/Notre Dame proved that big time OOC games played in a home stadium will always be superior.

Sounds like an AD problem to me.

FTR, ours is equally stupid. We had a neutral site game with Western Kentucky in fricking Nashville a few years back. Made absolutely no sense at all.

Not sure why Ole Miss agreed to have the game in Orlando. I can only think they thought it wasn't a far drive and a great place for fans to take a little vacation to. Maybe FSU had more leverage?

I'd be more concerned that my favorite team didn't realize that there were 2 halves to a football game then I would be about where the game was played.

I was going to start the same thread. I understand the appeal of having a game at a place like Lambeau Field. But otherwise, this doesn't make much sense versus a home and home, unless the pro stadiums are larger (which is often not the case).

Ole Miss wanted recruiting exposure in Florida. Nothing more.
