They have no space. They're trading salary for salary. New CBA allows you to take back 150% of the salary you send out (so if you send out a player making $10m, you can take back one making $15m). Before I think it was ~125%

Really don't like the Celtics trading Pierce. Not a fan of the Celtics but there is something respectable about being on the same team for your whole career.
