Has anyone seen swaggercopter lately? He used to be a regular in these NBA threads, but seems to be MIA. Maybe the Rockets failures drove him into an NBA exile.

Believed it or not rivers doesn't really suck anymore. He's a combo guard that is behind JJ reddick Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford. He has good bbiq plays within himself. His shot has dramatically improved since his pelican days. He came out about 2 years to early but he's a good backup combo guard

I think the Clippers would be dumb to blow this team up (with the exception of losing Pierce and Prigioni). They ran into horrible injury luck this year and they have as good of a chance as anyone of knocking off the Warriors or Spurs.

I thought this originally too, but I noticed in Game 4 in this series and with the Rockets last year, the Clippers give up when the game gets tough. Blake is awesome but he still doesn't have a good post game and disappears at times. Henderson, Aminu, and Harkless did good job on him defensively.

They can beat any of those teams in ONE series but they'd lose in the next round just like last year.

ETA: They have the same problem as they've had last few years, CP3 and a bunch of volume shooters (outside of Reddick) they need more consistent shooters and players in general.

Well, last year notwithstanding

Last time we were here, I believe we rendezvoused with y'all. Think y'all owe us, actually.

Meet up in round 3?

I mean it's not a great chance, but next best team in the west is them or the Thunder, and at least the Clippers beat the Spurs in the first round last year. If Paul and Griffin don't get hurt in game 4 who knows how they do against the Warriors without Steph.

Hell of a gutsy performance by Rivers. He kept them in the game in the 3rd Q when Portland was making 3 after 3. Golden State vs Portland will be an interesting series w/o Curry. I suspect Rip City will steal one of the first two games in Oracle. I think it will be 2-2 at best when Steph returns.

Blake wasn't even close to his old self in this series.

Sure last year's Spurs team that had a banged up TP, not this year's version that has Kawhi getting even better and the inclusion of Aldridge.

This is a completely different point from don't break up the team because they could challenge those teams in the future.

i dont think thats super crazy. i dont think the poster was saying they would win, just that a healthy clipper team with a blake griffin fully back into the flow of things would be just as likely as OKC to beat either

Well yeah this year's Spurs is a super team. The Clippers could steal a series from them next year if they kept the same core intact if Duncan and Ginoboli retire. I'm not saying it's 50/50 odds but Maybe 25% chance.

Clips are good enough to lean on the top teams in the West and MAYBE steal a series from one of them, but not good enough to complete a run ( I mean, they had to play the series of their lives last year to beat a Spurs team with a gimpy Parker and Splitter....by literally one basket. And they had homecourt. Prime reason they flat ran out of gas vs. a subpar Rockets team).

Lose in 6 close games, by my reckoning.

Ehh I'm not really expecting much of a dropoff when they lose those guys. Duncan REALLY slowed down this season. Manu missed like a month of the season and no one really noticed.

This. I believe they can beat anyone if they just had to win that one series. I don't think they can pull off any more than 8 playoff wins in the West (they haven't even got to 8 with that core and it's been 4 years now?)

And that probably depends on if SA upgrades with their replacements or not.

Well, not "upgrades" over to HoFers, but

frick, you know what I mean.
