Dog days generally accepted time frame is from the beginning of the new year til the all star break.

quote:

mail OAKLAND — Like every team at this point of the NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are looking ahead to the All-Star Break in two weeks. Head coach Steve Kerr calls this stretch the “dog days” and he’s adjusted how much he expects from his players as a result.

quote:

Charles F. Gardner | Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Updated 2:48 p.m. ET Jan. 27, 2017 Toronto - In baseball they talk about the dog days, usually in August when the season drags on and players' performances can plummet. NBA players can experience the same thing near or beyond the halfway point of the season, but those dog days come in January.

quote:

Ronald Tillery | USA TODAY NETWORK – Tennessee 7:34 p.m. CT Jan. 23, 2017 In case you’re concerned about the Grizzlies growling at each other recently during games, don’t worry. The morale is just fine. They insist that barking out frustration, especially while losing, is normal behavior when teams reach the “dog days” of an 82-game NBA schedule. “Communication is a great thing. We’ve never had to address that with the media,” said Marc Gasol ...more Nikki Boertman/The Commercial Appeal That means players around the league are physically and mentally drained, and crawling toward the All-Star break having played more than half the regular-season slate.

Etc

Cousins with a huge game 41 17 with three blocks and 5/7 from three. Too bad it's not a triple double so it won't be talked about as much.

Pels won 5 out of last six now. Three and a half back with a game against a Rox team they destroyed the last time they met.

Pels might mess around and get in.

Without KD and with curry in a shooting slump they don't have a whole lot of offense. Curry wasn't gonna be in a slump for ever. it ain't like he's not the best three point shooter EVER.

Yeah they are playing like they did the last 2-3 seasons without KD, just different role players and Matt Barnes was a good pickup for them at the 4

Also klay and Steph's splashing has returned to the mean

Seems like GS has some serious fire on defense here lately...and it's led to offense and them kicking some butt.

Casspi single handily giving the game to the Spurs. Three straight turnovers. Maybe 4.

Lakeshow down 70-40 at the half to the Clippers

Gonna be interesting to see what they do with D'Angelo if they draft Ball
