Could somebody please elaborate what all Philly has done to tank? I know they traded away a few players and drafted two injury prone guys. But what all are their picks in future drafts? And don't they have someone stashed away in Europe? Thanks

Yeah if you want to look at a tanking pick it was probably the Saric pick

or the fact that they were offering MCW for a high lotto pick this past year

Damnit, we're trying to rebuild!

NBA can't ruin a good thing.

I'd be pissed if I was a Sixers fan and had to watch them every night, but it's hard to disagree with some of Hinkie's moves.

He's essentially gotten three 1st rounders for trading Jrue Holiday. The veterans they traded were all expiring contracts unlikely to re-sign with the team.

The thing people criticize is the fact that they've filled out their roster with young, unproven guys instead of fringe veterans. Who cares? If you're gonna suck anyway, might as well see if you can find a diamond in the rough. They're basically playing the percentages - if we have this many second-round players, we'll find one or two that will stick.

It's still an NBA game... They've always had bad teams in the NBA, like the early 90s Mavs, the Bulls after Jordan, etc. In a few years someone will take the Sixers and Bucks place...

This would never happen but it would be real interesting to see a system where the bottom 4 (pick a #) teams each season were delegated to a D league or something. I just don't know how you would incorporate these teams into the lotto each year.

Good post but on your first point, was anyone rushing out to buy tickets when Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams are in town? I will never understand what other teams fans are so upset at the 76ers for and the 76ers fans are like....cool.

Philly suing the league for changing the rules in the middle of their rebuild and I actually would support them.

It's not like lottery reform came out of no where. It's similar to how teams have been operating under the assumption that the 2015-2016 salary cap is going to jump because of the new TV deal.

I'm sure 76er fans hope this change goes through so they can stop being subjected to a D League product.

While it's BS that they are changing it on such short notice, it will be hilarious to see Philly get fricked over after clearly tanking
