Yall dont understand, our franchise is loacted in fricking New Orleans. We have to overpay for anyone to want to be here. No one wants to sign here. He has done a good job of bringing talent in but either our medical staff is that terrible or our franchise is that unlucky.

Signing free agents is one thing. But being a good GM is about more than just signing free agents.

He signed Asik to a 5 year, $60 million contract. He is dogshit.

This could be huge if NOLA

Whenever I think of cures for a team that is 13 games under 500, I always think about the prospects of adding a one-dimensional center who is a mediocre rebounder and plays lawchair defense. Good luck with that, Pelicans.

Easy to say when your gm has Houston on its side. He has brought in players. He brought a big time talent in Eric Gordon in. Knee injuries zapped his explosiveness. Anderson was a good scorer off the bench, Jrue is a talented player. He has brought talent in, but every single one of them has had major injury issues while in New Orleans.

So no one here thinks this is a good deal for NOLA. They needed a big next to Davis, and can keep their core together

We had no fricking center. Did you watch our team the year before when we had Stiesma as our center? Thats the reason the trade was made and he was resigned. AD does not want to play center. He can barely stay healthy as is. The issue is, he doesnt fit Gentrys system. Asik was fine that last year under Monty.

These dudes dont have a clue. Okafor would go top 3 in this draft if he was coming out. A lottery protected 2018 pick and unloading Ajinca. Change of scenery will be good for Okafor.

yeah if he was coming out and hadn't been exposed, he'd go that high again, but he's just got major issues in the NBA. he can't play defense b/c he apparently lacks the athleticism/hips to move. he's an anachronism that would dominate in the 80s/90s but really lacks in the modern game

he's going to have to undergo a massive change in his game to fit in, offensively and defensively

Morey brings in players because the team is good. Before that he was compiling assets to flip.

Would rather Noel. We should've kept him to begin with

I was talking about if he was coming out as a prospect. Also, I dont believe exposed is the right word to use for a 21 year old 2nd year player. He has plenty of time to develop.

guys with athleticism issues can theoretically get better at defense, but it's difficult

okafor has shown 0 effort at all in improving his defense one bit

you can develop skills. you can't develop athleticism. okafor came in very skilled and with limited athleticism. okafor has a lower ceiling b/c of this. his attitude only makes that situation worse

You don't think Okafor can peak as a Enes Kanter/Greg Monroe scoring big off the bench?

Houston is 1 of the top cities for a rich black male to live. They have a lot going for it. Also, Morey wouldnt be trying to acquire assets if he had Anthony Davis. This is shown by what he has done since Harden has been there. If this same franchise was located in a better city, we could easily have let players walk and brought in free agents to team with AD.

He plays for the sixers who had an open philosophy on tanking for multiple seasons.

I am not suprised.
