Well Nash is probably the best PG the Lakers have had since Magic. Hard to argue with them trying.
What about Gary Payton?

Howard to Atlanta anyone?
No. But you might get Gasol.

Yeah, it could start looking like a hail mary if they are not too careful.

Doubt it
Howard wants out of Orlando bad and the Hawks want Howard
The Nets have pretty much closed the door and so have the Lakers
Hawks are the best option right now for Hoawrd

Hornets will have cap room for Howard in 2013.

Payton was done when he went to LA

Done? He was 5 years younger than Nash is now and won a title with your team 3 years later.

They need those older players to come off the bench because these young guys they've drafted late in the first round (Ebanks, Goudelock, Caracter, etc) were ineffective.
They'll get younger and more athletic once they ship Gasol and Bynum.

where u hear the Lakers have closed the door on Howard? This move only strengthens the Lakers chances to get Howard to extend. Back at the trade deadline it was widely reported that one move Orlando could make to keep Dwight in Orlando was to get Steve Nash. They don't need to offer Orlando draft picks when they have Bynum to offer

And what do you expect them to do without their two 7 footers?

But but Nash is at the end of his career unlike Bosh and Wade, so it's okay
