NASCAR happens to be the opposite. Every driver races every week on the same track.

You realize that you're proving my point right? How many times have you heard such and such has a chase spot locked wrh 3 races to go? That means if they wanted to, they could skip 3 races and still win a championship.

Technically you don't have to show up once you lock your place in but I would rather have people not showing up at the end of the regular season that not showing up in the "playoffs"
