Prior to his first 1,000+ Yard season he had years of 72, 11, and 14 yards. Then went off for two years. Followed up by 758, 275, then out of the league.

Jonas Gray ran for 200 yards and 4 TDs and then was a healthy scratch the next week because he was late to a meeting.

ETA: I thought he got cut two days after his big day originally. That was incorrect.

That one day was responsible for 4 of his 5 career rushing TDs.

Payton Hillis. The former Wampus Cat had 2 meteoric rises and crashes.

First at Arkansas once they realized Jones could carry a load it was DMac and Jones. Then again his solo year in Cleveland

His best year he went for 531 yards. Not much to write home about.

His college career was pretty sick tho

Mike Anderson

1500 yard 15 td season as a rookie

Ladell Betts

Never had more than 370 yards in like 8 seasons other than a random 1200 yarder

Arguably the greatest one game wonder ever considering it was in the SB and record breaking

Seems like there were a lot of these in the late 80s - early 90s:

Icky Woods, Timmy Smith, Christain Okoye, Tim Worley, Barry Foster, etc.

The Techmo Bowl nintendo games didn't age well in the RB department - even the unstoppable force that was Bo Jackson flamed out with an injury after 40 games.

Charles White was trash
Then he lead the league in rushing in 1987.
Then he was out of the league after 1988.
