These quotes come from an interview on what I believe is some Lithuanian FM station

quote:

D-Mo on relationships with Howard and Harden: "Hi & bye. They even eat separately from the team. Usually in some fast food place."

quote:

D-Mo on ZIP FM radio: "I got along best w/ Jeremy Lin. He was really supportive when I was in the D-League. Kept in touch, asked how I was doing."

quote:

Also on Lin: "When he was traded, we called each other. He's a really nice person to be around."

Not surprising especially after seeing Harden's comments abt him and Dwight are stars and the rest of the guys are just role players

Role players homie. This is a non issue. All 12 guys can't be BFF w each other. Guys will always be closer with some players than others. I'm sure Lin had much more in common with d-mo than the 2 stars.

Isn't he still under contract? Not very smart on D Mo's part if so

Good catch. While I agree all guys can't be BFFs, it's not good that Harden and Howard are alienating themselves from the rest of the team(at least according to some of their own teammates). Rockets need a couple vet leadership guys like a Ray Allen or even Shawn Marion because currently Howard nor Harden provide that.

Howard provided enough leadership when he was in Orlando to lead the team to the NBA finals, I think all they need is time playing together. The Heat with the Big 3 didn't win a title until their 2nd season together. I think you'll see HOU make some SERIOUS noise in the playoffs.

While I agree with what you are saying, it's not exactly coming from the most reliable source. I assume the majority of super stars aren't BFFs with the rookies/ really young players that spend most of their time on the bench.

I think Lin related well to those guys because he used to be one of them

Dwight was probably at church the whole time or participating in Christian charities.

Or impregnating another twelve women.

he's a well known blowhard about his Christian beliefs (he once campaigned to have the cross added to the Logo) even though he has several illegitimate children

Thought that was more of Jameer Nelson as the vocal leader not Howard

They also never got bounced in the 1st round either.

Meh, still too early to determine since there could still be trades, injuries, etc throughout the season, but on paper I don't see any improvements from last years team other than Ariza's defense, but even that move has negatives too.
