Cy Young winning 511 games...in an age where we may never see anyone reach 300 again, that's a pretty mind blowing feat. And while we're at it, his 316 losses will never be touched either

That's incredible.

The Babe was a great pitcher , too. I don't know how many wins he had.

I was reading an article about Alabama Football on espn.com earlier today and they mentioned it.

Wasn't 14 straight seasons, it was 14 consecutive titles.

Michael Powell has now held the long jump record longer than Bob Beamon.
and the world's pool of long jumpers is going backwards from the record as well.

Powell set the men's record of 29'-4 1/2" in 1991, but the women's record of 24'-8" was set even earlier in 1988.

Marshall McDougall, Florida State vs. Maryland, May 9th, 1999. 6 HRs in 6 consecutive plate appearances. 16 RBIs is also a single game record.

Jim LaFountain, Louisville vs Western Kentucky, March 24th, 1976. 3 Grand Slams in one game.

8 players have had 8 RBIs in one inning, but only 6 of those 8 players hit two grandslams. That is pretty incredible, both the two grandslams in an inning, and the 8 RBIs without hitting two grandslams.
