Morning Sports Radio - What do you listen to?

I gave up on Mike and Mike months ago. I have been listening to 103.7 the game in Lafayette and I'm close to going back to Mike and Mike. The guy on the morning show is horrendous. Not to mention the lack of preparedness on the show as a whole. Always waiting for them to look stats up and such. It was a breath of fresh air for awhile after Mike and Mike. For my after work drive I always listen to the Russillo podcast. I just need to get through my 40 minute morning commute with decent sports talk. What do ya'll listen to?

103.7 to and from work. Schultz in the morning and Ben Love on the way home.

McElroy and Zarzour are pretty good on College Sports Nation when you want to hear college talk, but it's boring off season.
Clay Travis in very small doses.
I'm not even a soccer fan, but I like some of the banter on SiriusXMFC with Charlie Stillitano, Neil Barnett, and Ray Hudson.

Love is good. But Schultz is not that great. I just feel like Louisiana could have a much better sports talk personality that could cover a larger area. I really think the lack of good producers is the station's problem.

People give M and M so much shite, but everything else on terrestrial radio is worse in that time spot.

I heard that they announced the Wingo and Golics show starts for real on Nov 27. I think they will be a good trio. They seem to actually have fun and do discuss some good topics, the few times I heard them on Mike and Mike.

Ben Love is the man. Hultberg is ok. He's got a lot of LSU/SEC connects hat most do not here in Laffy. 103.7 also keeps it impartial when it comes to UL sports (can't say that about the other Lafayette station
Who's that guy on after Shultz. He's f'n terrible
BTW: the little Mom and Pop station known as ESPN 1420am should be dead

Pardon my Take podcasts will help you out here.

I either do podcasts in the morning or listen to the Opening Drive here in Birmingham. But that's mostly during FB and BB season. Jay Barker, Al Del Greco, and Tony Kurre are the hosts. And they usually have decent guests. I much prefer the mid-day show here in Birmingham but for morning shows they're pretty good for this market.

I bounce among the following:
Sirius NFL radio
Sirius College radio
Sirius NBA radio
Mike and Mike (only if someone decent like Schefter or Van Gundy is on)
Occasionally Mad Dog but the morning crew is way too East Coast centric and silly inside jokes
Basically, these are automatic channel turners for me:
- Baseball talk
- Player interviews
- Bama worship
- Coach interviews (unless it's O, Mike Leach, Sean Payton)
- ESPY talk
- Stephen A Smith
- Golf talk
I love Russillo but I turn him off too if he starts talking Jay Z, rap or the Bachelor. I couldn't care less about that crap.

I find player interviews to be pretty much the worst type of sports radio there is. They are almost always boring and unless you're a fan of that team, who GAF? Even Saints player interviews are pretty lame and that's my team.
I'd rather hear beat reporter interviews for teams - way less generic bullshite than player/coach interviews.
I don't mind blending in a little pop culture but there are some topics like Beyonce and the Bachelor that just annoy the frick out of me. Don't care, not even a little.
Hate to say it, but I don't like the constant Jimmy V promo stuff either. I get it and it's a great cause, but bad radio.

Former player interviews can sometimes be interesting because obviously they can be a bit more forthcoming, but yeah player interviews for the most part are a total waste of time full of cliches.

Kirk and Callahan on WEEI in Boston. #1 show period in all of New England. Best show currently on radio...
Clip of Brandon Marshall walking out on their interview last week when asked about his "white quarterback" comments from 2 yrs ago and his domestic abuse rapsheet./link]

I assume that is an attempt at sarcasm, 1420 has significantly more listeners than 103.7 according to Nielsen.
Personally, I can't really stomach much of 103.7, I like Ben Love though.
ESPN 1420 is still the one I go to. Curious why a station should be "impartial" about the local college, especial when that station is the one that carries the local colleges sports. Several of their on air guys are very good, IMO, I just don't particularly like most of the ESPN feed.
Just my personal take
