I say Atlanta. At least Cleveland has Lebron and the Jim Brown years to remember fondly. Who does Atlanta have? Chipper Jones? That time they hosted the Olympics?

Depends what you mean by miserable. I think it's more miserable being a fan of a Cleveland team; however, Cleveland's support for its teams--win or lose--is anything but miserable. The more I think about it, that might make it more miserable.

Easily Cleveland--Far more tortured, and they actually give a shite about their teams when they're not winning.

Atlanta has a championship in the past 20 years. Multiple pennants. Multiple NFC championship appearances. Now a conference finals appearance for the Hawks.

Cleveland has 2 World Series losses (including a gut-wrenching one to Fla), and an NBA Finals loss with one additional conference finals appearance. Brown haven't done shite but move and draft JFF.

Cle easily.

Atlanta isn't miserable because it's entirely apathetic

Are Cleveland residents fans of ohio state? If so then ATL is more miserable, if not, Cleveland.

Well Cleveland did lose to Atlanta in the 95 World Series so it's gotta be Cleveland.

Ever read The Ultimate Baseball Book (1978)? Even then the Indians were considered baseball's "most star-crossed franchise", with great teams but only three pennants.

And in Atlanta people will simply ditch losing teams until they start winning again, then the city is back on the bandwagon.

Yeah, I included Mark Richt's perpetual underachievement and also Paul Johnson in my decision.
