Not sure why you keep repeating this... They demand young players and prospects. Obviously, they require good prospects because these are two of the elite relievers in the game but still prospects.
They Yankees will move them if they determine they want to be sellers. Enough teams are looking for help and the impact of both of them helps a team shut down the end of the game. Especially when the bullpen is the most important in the postseason.

@Ken_Rosenthal
Another source says the #WhiteSox were offered a "king's ransom" for Sale in the last 48 hours and responded with a flat "no."

White Sox are discussing becoming sellers now....

That would open up
Zach Duke
David Robertson
Adam Eaton
Melky Cabrera

Makes sense. I thought either Dodgers or Rangers.

Well now that the Dodgers think Kershaw may need back surgery.... Plus everyone reporting they are going big that is who I assume.

Because they have been demanding packages equivalent to what teams have gotten for front line starters. Not sure what you are having a problem with.

If the Red Sox were ever going to give up Moncada, it might be for Sale.

Where have you seen one demand? Because they wanted Schwarber? They didn't ask for Schwarber + 3 other MLB ready prospects. Schwarber is not Trout, Harper, etc he is not untouchable like some seem to think.
Outside of reports of their interest in him I have not seen 1 other "demand" mentioned by anyone and yes they will gain many talented prospects for Chapman and Miller if they decide to deal them.

That would be a HUGE trade to say the least

Problem is the white Sox still think they are contenders. No way they move sale for anything until they decide they aren't

They fell below .500 and 7 games out of the WC2 spot.

They reportedly asked for Schwarber and Baez at one time and one of those two and Contreras as well. You seem to think that is reasonable for a bullpen arm, two major league ready position players with power for a back inning arm. Makes a ton of sense.

Exactly. They are no longer contenders. But they obviously believe they are if they are saying no to kings ransom like trades from the Dodgers and red Sox who probably contain packages of Urias and moncada

Yeah, the White Sox have 4 games with Detroit and 4 with the Cubs up next. That is quite likely the death knell for them, but they'll still have time to sell.

I don't even remember reading that and by using google and typing in "Yankees ask for Baez and Schwarber" I get
quote:

According to the latest MLB rumors, the Cubs are scouting three relievers from the New York Yankees and they could offer Kyle Schwarber, Javier Baez and other prospects in a trade.

So, in other words, it was probably never mentioned just something someone brought up to stir up the pot. However, I would hope the Yankees do ask for both because you have to shoot for the moon.

I think these are two of the best relief pitchers on the market and both are proven and effective. Schwarber has no position for the Cubs, the OF is set and he is a defensive liability. He would make a great DH/OF for the Yankees.

If they make a deal, it'd probably be with Quintana because their fans would riot if it's Sale. Optics.
