There's been a lot of industry chatter that Greenberg was furious when their planned move to N.Y. City last year fell through. Apparently he was the one with all the leverage & Golic lost out.

I remember listening to them when they first were on together in the summer of 2000. I had an early morning job, so they were who I listened to on my 25 minute drive to work every morning. ESPN radio was much better then. There was no Fox Sports, CBS Sports, or NBC Sports radio, so if you wanted sports radio then ESPN or Sporting News radio were the only options you had. It's hard to believe they have been together that long. I don't know of any other sports radio show that has been on that long.

How does Greenberg have any leverage? Is there a single listener of that show who tunes in because, " I simply MUST hear what Mike Greenberg has to say about this!"?
Either of them could have been replaced years ago without skipping a beat.

Somebody explained it well on here once. He doesn't really say anything worthwhile, but he is basically a good show manager. Kind of like skillet with a lunch thread. He's perfect for corporate bigwigs as he won't ever rock the boat.

I've not hardly said much about berman in the past and haven't made one comparison in the meantime. You say greenberg sucks (very shallow and juvenile opinion piece) and his success just dick slaps your simplistic opinion.
