Feels like these two have been talking around the fact that the show is ending for months. Yesterday they finally spoke on it. 18 years is a long arse time to be together. Didn't notice it had been that long

I used to always listen to them back in high school while preparing for the day in the morning. As I grew older I pretty much stopped and looked for other morning shows. Now it's Good Morning Football on NFL Network

Did they announce it on the Subway Fresh Take Phone Line?

The issue I've always had with Mike and Mike is by the time I got to the point where I was listening to sports radio, it was painfully obvious they were meant to shill whatever ESPN wanted them to do.

I watch it every morning---unless they start talking social issues.

When they're doing funny bits, particularly about little Mike's phobias, it's still a lot of fun

what is golic getting at not my story to tell, is he referring generally to the what and why's these decisions are being made?

Ya, that came off as a little strange like it was Mike Greenberg that wanted to move on or ESPN's decision

All along, it's seemed like Golic is put off by the change. That video did nothing to change that.

"It's not my story to tell" is a strange comment. "Eye opening" is another.

Personally, I think Golic just happened to hit the broadcasting scene as a former athlete a a perfect time. People accept his voice and opinion just because he's been there for so long and because he's fairly rational which is a decent compliment to Greenberg.

I don't feel the same way about Golic Jr. I can't think of a reason why I care about his opinion? If Golic Jr. is going to be a part of the new show in a large capacity, I don't see it succeeding. Already, I think the show will lose a large piece of the Mike and Mike equation (Golic providing balance to Greenberg). I don't think that will exist with Wingo.
