Lebron is protected by his entourage. And his image has been crafted by his PR team over time. What's the difference between him and Jordan in that regard? The public image of both and many other pro athletes is nothing more than a concoction by their PR teams. I guy like Lebron makes very few if any public comments without running it by his team.

Westbrook watches his neighbors kids games so that makes him a better man than Jordan? yea right. Maybe Jordan was just more of a homebody.

I have work friends who live in the Chapel Hill area who have dealt with him at restaurants and on the golf course.

Believe me when I tell you, the guy is a world class a-hole. Anyone who has dealt with him personally would tell you the same.

Yeah, some of these posters are really reaching here. The truth is a lot of people hated Jordan, myself included. You either loved the Bulls or hated them. The only difference is we're in the message board era now. Back then we didn't have any of that.

I don't think anyones arguing that. My question is how would that have affected his career, as so many on the MSB like to say.

You know who else is a word class a-hole? Kobe Bryant. And his career has turned out quite well in the social media era.

I'm not disagreeing I'm sure he is an a-hole at times. The only person I know personally who has dealt with Lebron said he was a massive a-hole too. But Lebron is seen as a good guy. Jordan isn't. Just saying Lebron has people crafting his image too thats not exclusive to Jordan.

That things that make Jordan so great on the court are things we dont want to see off the court. Maybe he wouldn't be as loved, but lets not pretend like winning doesn't mask a lot of bad personality traits.

My mom and dad like are less than casual fans, but they like Michael Jordan and dislike Kobe. No fringe NBA fans or even mediocre sports fans in general had an issue with Michael Jordan. He was a God.
