Completing right at 50% of your passes, having your passing rating go down in each successive game, while facing some really shitty defenses is one reason.

Actually... That's wrong.

Houston was the worst, Oakland second then SD had a REALLY strong defense last year.

merrill is getting under my skin like sean salisbury use to. they talk like hall of famers but only career backups. I dont think tebow needs to be rushed to the field but he not gonna be as bad as merrill says. he definately has a personal issue with tebow. tebow played good those last few games and merrill didnt like it when he was set straight.

You ain't doing shite with Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn at quarterback anyway.

Kyle Orton is pretty good. If you put a decent team around him, then I could definitely see him doing something.

I hate this logic. If only great players or hall of famers can comment on football, then what are we doing right here? You can't judge a guy's ability to analyze football by his playing ability. Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin are good examples of this.

Is he performing epically bad in practices or something?

You haven't seen the videos of him skipping the ball along the turf, throwing it in the stands, and basically no where near a receiver?

Those videos and practices are where these opinions from all of the analyst have been coming from.

It's not that he's performing his duties as an analyst...He's being a fan, dogmatically stating that "he sucks" when he played in the NFL...he sucked. He's doing it on twitter as well not just on air...it's not professional

A lot of rumors right now that Tebow will be cut or traded by Labor Day because he's supposed to receive a $6.25 million bonus if he's still on the roster by September 2nd. That's a lot of money to pay him if he does end up 3rd string.

If Al Davis even had a quarter of a brain left, he would snatch Tebow up in a heartbeat...get him cheap, see what he's made of, if he ends up being really good, let him kick the shite out of the broncos twice a year

if the broncs refuse to trade him to oakland because they dont want him to haunt them, what would that say about the situation?

I would like that. Of course it's Al Davis were talking about. He just spent a 3rd round pick on Pryor

i mean if he's cut...they don't have 2nd, 3rd or 4th round picks next year and I would give, though I am not an NFL GM, only a 5 or 6 considering I'm trading for someone's 3rd string qb

Do I agree with everything he's saying? Not necessarily, but when I see him on air criticizing Tebow I don't really find it unprofessional. He's just saying he doesn't think he can cut it in the NFL. He may be right. I see other analysts saying some guys aren't good either.

Eh, I haven't watched the NFL Live stuff, but the tweeting really makes him come off as some one who posts on the rant

I looked at the tweets just now. I really don't have a problem with them either. Again, he's just making an evaluation, saying just because you're good in college doesn't mean you will be good in the NFL. Then he goes on to say he isn't good at passing. I've never been a big fan of Hoge because I think he's wrong a good bit of the time, but I also don't have a problem with him attempting to do his job.

It’s embarrassing to think the Broncos could win with Tebow!!

these things kind of irked me, they seem beyond professional analysis...especially the speech thing that he mentioned twice...that just seems like a dipshit thing to say, especially when you know he's going to hear it and you're doing it for attention
