Was he correct about Young?

I think Hoge is pissed that Tebow responded to him and made him look like an a-hole that he is.

Please explain what happened.

As I posted in the other Tebow thread:

What needs to happen is that he needs a full offseason in the same system.

He was one of those guys who was the most hurt by the lockout. However, the new rule regarding the #3 QB can actually help him during the season because he'll be able to play in certain packages that play to his abilities while he still gets practice time in the current system and will be able to present a more legitimate challenge for the starting job next season.

Denver shouldn't throw the season away by rushing him into action, and when they drafted him, everyone and their grandmother knew he was a project. So let him be a project and stop trying to force stuff with him.

No. Young won ROY and went to the pro bowl.

If Hoge had said "Young is going to go crazy" then I'd give him credit.

No, he was wrong. He doubted VY's physical ability to pass. VY threw the ball really well here. It was his mental game, and our lolely receivers that did him in. (but mainly his mind)

the new rule regarding the #3 QB

This is the 2nd time you've referred to this without mentioning what the frick it is. But I agree with you. Let him play in some goalline/short yardage situations while he learns as the 3rd string QB. Got to patient with him. But they ain't cutting him. That's absurd.

Him or any ESPN talking head hardly cares if he is correct or not. If they're right they'll keeping beating their own drum, if not it'll be conveniently forgotten and never talked about on their shows. Cowherd kept knocking down Durant before the draft.. conveniently forgotten now. Bayless, PTI, ATH guys they all do this to get attention.

#1 QB can re-enter the game now if the #3 takes snaps

Sue me for thinking that something regarding the NFL was common knowledge on a sports board.

They've changed the game day roster rules.

In the past it was 45 players plus the "emergency" or #3 QB. If the #3 QB came in the game, then neither the #1 or #2 is allowed in the game.

Now, you can dress 46 players, with no restriction on the #3 QB, so if you have an athlete (like Tebow or possibly a guy like Pryor), you can bring him in on certain packages without having to designate him as the #3 and without effectively locking out your starter or second guy for the rest of the game.

don't know what the big deal is. nfl network and mike&mike were ripping on tebow as well. let's face it...kid is not good. being drafted in the first round doesn't help him either. even Clayton (who's very cordial) was ripping him.

A subpoena is on it's way.

I had no idea this rule existed. And I think it's absurd. There should be absolutely no restrictions in subbing on a football team. Glad they corrected it. It's not baseball.

Already got the countersuit drafted.

I knew that prepaid legal would come in handy.

Personally, I think that the entire 53 man roster should be eligible on game day.

Yeah, I mean frick Tim Tebow for having the audacity to get drafted in the first round! Why don't they complain about the Broncos organization for drafting him in the first round? Tim Tebow is just too easy to love/hate, so these people are looking for ratings.

if he was drafted in the second round, he wouldn't be so scurinized. i thought it was a stupid reach and they should burn a McDaniels effigy in Denver

Oh I completely agree with you. I just think it's dumb that everyone's bashing Tim Tebow for being drafted in the first round, which was completely out of his control, and trying to become a better quarterback. At least he hasn't up and quit like Eric Crouch or Jason White when things have gotten difficult.

Lot of incentive to not quit with a 1st round salary and not mid round or rookie free agent pay.

If Tebow has fallen from 1st to 3rd on the depth chart during training camp, what's so wrong with saying he sucks?
